Depending on your idea of fun? Each day/season is different. We can go early am and see raccoons, snakes, birds, Gators, feral pig (mom and babies) then in the late afternoon/sunset...owls, otters, tortuiose. I personally have not seen wildcats.
I have seen 3 ton Gators within three feet of me crossing my path.
You can take kids to the Discovery Center. Those that don't want to walk, take a tour (sign up for the Tram your the first day of the month), check their website for educational talks, again...what is your cup of tea (fun)?
It's a blast! Take some pictures and a picnic!
Yes, if you enjoy nature hikes and a water management museum, that sort of thing.
If you enjoy wildlife and nature it’s the best. Use sunscreen and bring a hat.
Great way to spend a morning or afternoon in the Lakeland area...waterfowl & alligators galore.
Very much so. Several trails. More crowded on weekends. Can also ride bikes on trails. No dogs on trails due to wildlife: Alligators and water birds.
absolutely fantastic great for all ages
The area is loaded with varieties of birds and plant life with the obligatory gator- outstanding unless you're looking for Disney. Enjoy real Florida.
If you like the outdoors, it’s fun. It’s a nature walk. If art museums are your thing, not so much.
If you enjoy walking outdoors and looking for wildlife, then it's fun. I think the Nature Center would be a great place to visit, but it's not open on Mondays which is when we were there.
