Hike Table Mountain Questions & Answers

Hi! Where did you book this tour through? And how challenging? I'm traveling with my 64 year old father who runs 10K+ - but is worried about this. Thanks a ton.

Brenda,

Here is the contact info.

If he runs and hikes and can go up stairs he will be fine. They take it slow. It does have some scrambling and a little cardio but I am 53 and I had NO issues at all.

HI Brenda, my wife booked it online. Google table mountain hike. Before they let you book, they will make sure the trail is appropriate for you and your dad. We dont run but work out on a weekly basis. We found it challenging at the first 1 hour because it was uphill. Some climbing involved as well which maybe challenging for your dad. Also if the cable car is closed then you have to hike back down which is another 2 hours. There are 4 types of trails you can pick from. We wanted more challenging so we booked Indian Veenester trail. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hike Table Mountain. I think he would be fine as it's relaxed and they take it as slow as those present need it to be. Take a hat and water.

We didn't book, we hired the bikes in San Pedro from Yep.Bike, 7 euros for the day. Excellent value. Make sure the tyres are pumped up and cleaned, these bikes are being used every day.
