July is when we usually start seeing a little bit more rain, but this year has not been usual and we have seen more rain in June than in the past. So hoping that July in turn will be a little more sunny! As mentioned by others, have layers along, including that rain jacket, but when that sun does come out it will be warm and beautiful.
It's pleasant and clear. My advice will be " wear layers " of clothing.
And you must bring a umbrella or rains coat.
You will be surprised!!! In Alaska at this time of the year day time is 20 hours clear with the sun up all the time.
Have a wonderful vacation !!
On our July visit, it was sunny and warm. It was cooler at night, so layers are advised. The thing I did notice was the flies were horrible in the wooden areas, if you are a hiker.
We had two sunny days at Alyeska this month, but did get rain about 1/2 our trip elsewhere. The rain didn't stop us from any outdoor activities, we just packed good raincoats and layers.
July weather was very comfortable, just rainy but you get used to it.
