Hi. I want to know if my parents can enter inside the airport Terminal 2 Departures and then check-in this hotel one day before their International flight to Johannesburg, which is on the 10th March. They will travel through train to Mumbai on the 9th March and their International flight is on 10th. Please advise if they would be allowed to enter inside the airport on the 9th for the Hotel Check-in. Thanks in advance.
Agreed with the previous replies. So there are actually 2 parts, the air-side and the land-side.
Similarly, my parents did the same. So they reached a day early by train and then stayed at the one on the land-side. And then the next day went in and checked in and boarded the flight.
agree with the previous reply:
- the hotel I have rated and commented is "airside", therefore you cannot get there unless you have a boarding pass (which - on international flights - can be obtained 3 hours prior to take-off time from the check-in counters.
The "landside" hotel is accessible, but I have not tried it, so I am not able to comment on its quality and value for money.
All the best
To get into the departures lounge (and the airside part of the hotel), you have to check in for your flight, and normally there is a limit, like, three hours before a flight, when check in for a flight opens.
There is a part of this hotel that is landside (still in India but not past customs and immigration), so, they could stay in the landside part of the hotel and then check in at the appropriate time for their flight.
