I am thinking of staying overnight on 4 July.
How long does it take to come from the Dubai Airport to your hotel?
My flight is due to arrive at 22:45. How late can I come to your hotel? Would midnight be a problem?
On the following day, I would like to go on a half-day mini tour of Dubai in the morning as I catch an aeroplane on the afternoon of 5th July. Is that a problem?
The hotel has a 24 hours front desk I have arrived at around 2100 hrs and checked in and it has not been a problem. make sure that you book online pay for the room and then make it a point to write to the hotel that you will be coming and the rest should be sorted.
As far as half a day of site seeing is concerned I think maybe you can do the museum and the places in and around bastakiya ( the area where the hotel is At) a half day tour might be a bit tight but i leave it to you.
Tell them in advance that you are arriving late, it should be no problem. Just make sure to tell them in order for them to keep the room.
It depends when your flight is leaving. Depending on the destination and the airline, it is advisable to be at the airport up to 4 hours in advance.
We stayed here again late last year (second time) and it isn't that easy to find the hotel as its located within a labrynth of buildings in the old city. Give the front desk a call once you are close and they may be able to meet you on the footpath and lead you to the entrance. It took about 20 minutes to half an hour by cab from the airport to the hotel at that time of the evening.
It will be very hot and humid in Dubai at that time of year so you may want to consider going to one or two of the larger malls to escape the temperature
first, l do not work for the hotel.
l stayed here last summer. The hotel has a 24 hour front desk. The major issue was for the cab driver to find the hotel. It is located INSIDE the old town (Al Fahidi Fort) complex. Have the cabby drop you off in front of the fort area and walk inside.
There are many pamphlets and ads regarding tours. The fort is relatively close to the elevated rail/ metro, but it might be too hot to walk around outdoors. The staff at the hotel can help with arrangements. if you are just passing through town, it's best to plan ahead and book activities.
