We offer transportation from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. If you rent a car, you can drive yourself. We offer validated parking at the train station in Ollantaytambo.

Yes you can! The drive is about 2 1/2 hours, we had the hotel arrange a private transport for us for $50 if I recall correctly. You should be able to pick up a cab at the airport for cheaper, but it was convenient to be picked up at the airport by a recommended driver for the long ride. We took a private car (taxi) back to Cusco after our trip and paid roughly $30 and stopped at some archeological sites on the way along with a nice verbal tour of the history of surrounding areas from the driver.

If you get into the hotel in Ollantaytambo early enough I really recommend the pachamanga lunch, it was amazing and one of our culinary highlights in Peru.

Yes, we drove from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. It takes about two hours. But we stopped

for sights enroute, so it took longer for us.

Yes, I believe our driver made this trip. I have no idea how to navigate the route.

I know this wasn't much help but it did answer the question. :)

I believe you can but taxi was only $20 or so, and we stopped along the way at some sites. it wouldn't have been worth our money to rent a car.

Honestly, it's not worth driving and renting a car. A taxi will only cost you between $20 and $30 each trip. He will be happy to stop if you want to take pictures. Also, one thing I didn't consider was altitude. Easier to sit back and relax if you start getting a head ache etc. Also, Ollantaytambo is super small and tight as towns go, parking would not be easy. Enjoy your trip, it is quite spectacular there!
