ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands Questions & Answers

How long approximately is the queue to get in to the museum (if there is one)? We will only be in Singapore for five hours and would love to see this museum, if time permits. We aim to buy tickets ahead of time.

Thanks

Dear Lucy,

Thank you for your interest in ArtScience Museum. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online prior to your visit. You will receive an e-ticket via email, which can be presented on your mobile device at all our exhibition entrances without the need to queue at the Ticketing counter. This will allow you to fully enjoy and maximise your 5 hours in Singapore. Kindly allow at least 1 to 2 hours for your visit, and we do suggest timing your visit for a weekday morning to ease the flow of your experience even more.

Thank you and I look forward to welcoming you to ArtScience Museum soon.

Queues during peak hours can be 45min-1hr. Would suggest for you to purchase the tickets via the artscience musuem website to avoid the queue.

Personally I'd prioritise the two Gardens by the bay gardens over arts science museum. I've never had to queue for either on a weekday. I guess weekends, public holidays and the day a new exhibit opens are times to avoid

Simply put, good to buy the tickets in advance. Queue on weekdays are hardly more than 10 min You have sufficient time. Within in the exhibit hall, 1 or 2 exhibits may require queue due to safety consideration but often less than 5 to 10 min. More importantly, you need to decide how many exhibitions are you intending to visit at the gallery. You can decide to buy a combo or two (which is usually cheaper) or just stick with one. If time is a constraint, then just please stick with one.

We were there more than 3 times and never had to stand in more than 1 minute on line , On the week end days ( Saturday & Sunday there are a few more people but I don't think you will have a problem ,, and I guess that if you hit the first week of a new temporary exhibition ,then you could find more people ,but they make big publicity for those occasions ,.... I'm an Architect and museums are my things , but if you are going to only be in Singapore for 5 hours , YOU SHOULD NOT MISS , the 2 " Conservatory" buildings at the Marina Sands Botanical Gardens ...

Approximately 15 mins. Expect longer queuing time if it's a weekend/holiday season

My Fiancee and I visited the ArtScience Museum near the end of our three-day Singapore trip, and it took longer to walk through the lobbies of the Marina Bay Sands buildings to reach the museum than the actual line at the ticket counter in the museums basement. So on a non-crowded weekday I would say a 5 minute delay to purchase tickets at the counter, but I would expect perhaps 15-30 minute delay on a school holiday or nice weekend. However, if you purchase your tickets in advance, you may be able to skip the queue. Which is what we did for the excellent Night Safari at the Singapore Zoo.
