Hidden Valley Holiday Park Questions & Answers

Adelaide, Australia

Hi. I was wondering what the public transport was like in the area - is there a bus stop nearby and is the service regular. We are not sure yet if we will hire a car.

HI Jackie

There is a bus stop approx 5-7 minute walk up to the top of the Road on the Stuart Highway - buses run regularly.. However like Margi M has already suggested, I would suggest to hire a car for ease and convenience to get around to places - there is so much to see and do and having the convenience of your own car will make your trip much more enjoyable.

Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance.

Regards

Hi Jackie,

There is a bus stop about 10 minutes walk up the road. It is as said on the Stuart Hwy. It is an incline up to the bus stop. If you have small children I wouldn't suggest it unless they are highly active because depending on what times you'll be walking up and back it will most likely be very hot! Buses usually go by every 30-40 minutes. You can look all Darwin timetables and maps up on the net just search Darwin public transport. But If a hire car is within your budget definitely get it as the others have said it gives you more freedom to travel to attractions and on your time. Hope this helps. Have a great holiday :)

There is a bus stop within 10 minutes walk of the park. It is on the Stuart Hwy - the main road in and out of Darwin.

As a resident of Darwin, I would recommend hiring a car. You'll appreciate the aircon and many of the best attractions of the Top End are widely spread out, so a car will get you there much, much faster than the bus, and you're less likely to miss anything.

Traffic here is nothing like other capital cities, so you won't get stuck in heavy traffic. Enjoy your holiday!
