Weymouth Beach Questions & Answers

How easy is it to park near Weymouth beach? We have a 2yr old and a 1 yr old and want to be able to park as close as possible to the beach with all the stuff we want to take. Thanks x

We always park just up from train station, about 5 to 10 minutes walk and you are at the big clock. Right by the beach. X

Get there early to park by the beach, there are meters to feed and wardens are frequently patrolling. You are better off parking behind the Pavillion Theatre or the Harbour as others have said as it is cheaper and make sure you have wheels to carry your luggage to the beach. It is 5 minutes walk, but worth the effort for a first class beach with plenty of refreshments and entertainment for all ages.

If your lucky you might find spaces on the sea front. some are for limited stays only though. We buy a parking ticket from the council (£38) for a week and it lets you park at a few major car parks. The pavilion car park is best if your visiting the beach but the ticket will tell you where else you can park. It's great if you have a family to move around and if the weather is changeable as you don't have to keep paying parking fees if you do move about. Hope this helps. Have a great holiday.

There is a one way system but there are car parking spaces, some can be quite pricey but to be honest all the town and car parking spaces are close. There is a nice car park which is tucked away. Approach the Weymouth red clock from the left hand side, turn left then left again and follow the short road up and there you go! It does get really busy so get there early!
