A few questions
does the rooms have a kettle ??
How much is the tram into centre ?
Could I just walk in ?? I don't mind walking a distance
Also is there any wee local shops to get milk juice near by
Thank you in advance I hope u can help x
This hotel is not near the city center. You need some form of public or private transport. Also, be prepared for noise as there is no soundproofing on the windows facing the street. It is like sleeping on a raceway. No shops nearby. Try Crowne Plaza or Novotel instead.
Hello, yes for all your questions...5 to 10m for shops and tram...
Have fun ;)
If I remember right I think we paid about €17 for a 72 hour ticket for the metro, took about 15 minutes to get to where we wanted to be on the metro, didn't bother attempting to walk as this was so convenient.
Our room had a kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar, all were refreshed daily, but if you do require more reception we're more than happy to provide more for you.
The room does have a fridge, but I don't recall that it has a kettle. Not a proper one, at least.
The train to the center of town is just down the street from the hotel (out, to the left, and a seven minute walk.) The fare to downtown, which involves transferring to the tram, is only a few Euros, all together. It drops you off in front of the Concertgebouw.
There are no nearby shops at all. There is a shop in the lobby of the hotel, where you can purchase juice and milk, but it is a bit pricey. The walk to downtown is perhaps a bit too far for a convenient walk, about 4 km.
There is a canal out back of the hotel, and a boat leaves once every morning, about 9:00, that takes you to Centraal Station.
