Hi,

Honestly, because we travel a lot with our kids, we are always looking for a good deal. I had looked up the price of trains from FCO (Leonardo de Vinci) which was 28 Euros, but would have had to catch a bus or walk. We ended up doing a shuttle service from the airport for 40 Euros. Which brought us directly to the hotel. Now, if you don't have kids and lots of luggage i suggest using the trains from the airport and transfering to the bus. It just depends on you needs. Safe travels!!!!!!

I think the weather will be cold... Hard to predict but Rome is like any other European capital in winter.

I used FCO airport so not sure about Ciampino airport.

go to aeroporto di roma ciampino web and you have a link for the transport.

Hi. First of all I'm not sure about the weather, but it'll be better than here I'm guessing! We travelled in via FCO airport and used the local train and tram network. This worked out cheaper than the taxi and we got to see a little of Rome. The hotel is great too, and just a tram ride to the centre (tram 8).

As others have said from FCO airport there is a direct train to Trastevere train station, then get the number 8 tram (about 2 minutes walk) much cheaper than a taxi, and probably no slower

The weather should be still fine. I would suggest a taxi to get there or a train to downtown and then a taxi
