hi, me and boyfriend are visiting this hotel on 24th March 2018. I'm disabled and was just wondering on parking and getting around etc. we've never been and could with some info please would really appreciate it.
The hotel doesn’t have parking but it is well prepared to accommodate wheel chair users with lifts to every floor and spacious rooms with well appointed bathrooms that cater for both disabled and able bodied guests . I am sure you would enjoy this hotel should you choose to stay here .
Hi! I can’t really comment on parking as we flew into Edinburgh. Getting around there are some hilly areas to be honest when you go into the castle and royal mile areas. There are black cabs around though if you get stuck plus a great hop on hop off bus tour which takes you around everywhere. We found there was hardly any traffic in the city if u do decide to drive around. Have a great trip!
Parking is a issue. There is a loading area outside the hotel. Street parking is available but it is by parking meter. Unsure about “Blue Badge” facilities. Talk to the hotel staff the are great.
Hotel has ramps and lifts so should not be a problem, parking is ok and transport round city +Tram service are great buses are everywhere its amazing, enjoy yourselves we are going back again at sometime.
As said above there are lifts to all the floors. Parking is a no go at the hotel itself. There is a loading area at the front of the hotel, basically for dropping off bags/people etc. I used a website called Just Park, and found a covered garage/parking space very close to the police station. I dropped my girlfriend off at the hotel, drove to the parking space and left the car. It was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Didn't worry about the car the whole time we were, it was great.
Only loading outside there is a ncp car park quite near ( maybe 10 min walk ) and the hotel will give you a discount ticket ! Although I don’t know if there are any ground floors rooms I would warn you that although there is a small lift there are stairs everywhere in this hotel and our hotel room had 3 stairs up to the bed area !! Even after coming out of the lift we had a couple of steps down to our floor I would get in touch with the hotel to check this out it is a nice hotel but depends how much of a disability you have !
