Our train departs from the station at 8 a.m. .... what's the best way of getting from hotel to station - taxi, does the hotel arrange a transit or something else ?
Although the Inn on the Harbour does not have a shuttle service, we would be happy to call a taxi to take you to the train station. The station is not actually the one mentioned above . . . it is actually about a five minute drive from the hotel so too far to walk.
I don't believe the hotel has any shuttle service, so a taxi would be your best choice. I would suggest asking the hotel directly. I found them to be very helpful when I called before we stayed there.
I saw plenty of taxis, suggest you arrange for one with front desk, as the are very helpful. If you are taking the train from the little station on the waterfront, it is just downhill from the hotel, and you can see it from the window of rooms that face the water. But it is not a straight down hill walk, rather a bit roundabout. I walked it for fun and since downhill you could probably do so with suitcases. Would not recommend walking the other direction, as the hill is steep.
