Heather, it is quite unusual here to find sugar-free desserts, particularly in a chain restaurant. I am very MSG-sensitive, and I've never had a reaction at Panama, or most places in MZT. Enjoy your stay and eat lots of tropical fruit!

No help here - we've been gluten free, sugar free for years - but when visiting Panama - we consider it an exception and enjoy ourselves. It's the best!

There are a lot of good looking desserts!!! To the best of my searching I never saw any sugar free. I eat low carb so I probably would have spotted anything like that.

You will have a nice selection of grocery stores. Two Walmarts and Ley store are easy to get to. They have just about everything you would find in the US.

No they don't. I think you will be hard pressed to find these here in Mazatlan.

Unfortunately your talking about Mexico. Sugar free may be on packaging in stores in Spanish, that is if you read Spanish, but I find it hard to believe your going to find any restaurants that serve sugar free items.

Most Mexican restaurants dont use MSG except in the Ranch Dressing, where it is generally the number 1 ingredient.

Honestly, good luck in Mexico. We love it, but your expectations need to be adjusted for specialty foods.
