Hello, are there age restrictions on entering the bar? I would like to visit with my 13year old daughter when in Havana. Thank you
I would say no. There are only 8 bar stools in an "L" shaped bar. It opens up onto the street. Many people get their drinks and stand outside to listen to the local music. Worth the trip. Try off hours and it might not be crowded. We were 4 and all got seats at the bar.
I don't recall any younger patrons but they locals are so very accommodating specially to tourists who wants to experience the scene! The crowd spills to the street...that's how small it is but definitely worth the experience!
Not that I know of...so long as you’re not ordering a shot or a beer for the 13 yr old, should be all good..
I live most of the year in Cuba and I have never seen anyone of any age denied entry to a bar. I often see families with young children in bars.
The bar and the restaurant are separate. I saw children in the restaurant. The bar is open air so visible from the street.
Havana is not like US or UK regarding age and alcohol. Also La Bodeguita del Medio is a restaurant with several small dining rooms with interesting art work. Patrons spill into the strreet with drinks and often a como is playing latin jazz.
It is so tiny, if anyone says anything about going inside, just hang right outside th bar. It's all open, so people are spilling out into the street there anyway. You will see when you get there. Have a blast
Don‘t worry. Everybody can enter, and tourists and their families are the Target group. Don‘t expect too much, is‘s small and narrow. Good for a drink (we didn‘t eat) and good live music.
No. I went with my 3 year old. Just remember it’s small and gets super crowded. We had to buy the drinks (20 minutes just to order) then drink it standing up outside of the place.
Couldn’t say I went with adults and I didn’t noticed any kids inside during my visit there.
Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question, much appreciated!
Not that I'm aware of but it does get crammed as it's a very small bar.
