To just go to Lac Bay, there is no charge. You can just park and go in the water either swimming or snorkeling or windsurfing if you have your own equipment. If you want to rent a lounge chair, rent equipment or eat - there are charges. Shallow water - great for kids. If it's a high wind day, it's a bit tougher to swim as there are many boards in the water.
There is not a cost except to rent sailboards.
Also there are 2 parts to Lac Bay the Jibe city beach side and the mangrove side where you can kayak with a guide. You actually are not allowed there without a guide....I mention this distinction as our gps initially took us to Mangrove side.
Unless you want to windsurf the best spot is Sorbono Beach Resort. I think it was about 7 dollats...not sure as we rented a cabana for 20 dollars for the day. The wait staff comes by frequently so u can order drinks or food. In my opinion it is the best spot on the beach. You can walk around pier and still windsurf but it was quieter and very peaceful there. If you want a lot of activity Jibe City next door and its free. That is where the windsurfing is. If you r on Bonaire its best to go on a non cruise ship day.
No. you can go to the bar/grill there and get a beverage if you want or you can just wade out into the bay. Or, you can rent wind surfers or take lessons if you don't know how.
Lac Bay is free, however the best place to enjoy it is from one of their beach side restaurants. Windsurfing lessons and boards can be renter there also.
no it is completly free. you will have to drive there though!
No cost, but rec a non cruise ship day if you can as it’s very very crowded. It’s a different experience with hundreds of people all crowding into the restaurants and water vs 25 people give or take on a non cruise day... if ur a cruiser get off the boat in the first wave. If you want a spot to rest you either have to eat/drink or rent a chair so that would cost.
Only cost to rent equipment
