Travel time from Kochi to Munnar is about 4 hours. If you prefer adventurous trips, I would highly recommend the off-road mountain package offered by Ragmaya Resort. It is thrilling and an amazing experience!

Hi,

I went in November-end, so weather was awesome and resort is at amazing location. You need at least 4.30-5.30 hrs from Kochi to Munnar. Road is dangerous and all are mountains road, so my suggestion is to hire a vehicle.

This resort is far(more than 20km) away from Munnar town. So for sightseeing you have to drive for at least 25 -30 km.

Ragmaya resort is a around 30-35 kms from the main Munnar town, where you can visit , Lockhart's tea gardens and factory.

Apart from the tea gardens you can also visit photo point, Echo point, Hill top point( all are in one direction).

There is a massive amusement park near Ragmaya resort, which caters to several fitness activities like- Zip line, Burma Bridge, Bungee Jumping etc...... ( Recommended as you get to enjoy majestic mountains).

On the way to Munnar (Kochi) do visit spice garden.

Kochi to Munnar is around 135 kms and it takes around 4-5 hrs to cover the distance by car.

Now I would seriously recommend against using self driven/ rental cars, as roads are extremely narrow and traveling within Munnar isn't advisable as motorable terrain is pretty rough and self driving can be risky.
