Hi. Our family are staying at this hotel in August. We are really looking toward to it
How far away is Phuket itself? How long does the shuttle bus take to get there
My daughter is s really picky eater. Is there enough "simple" non spicy food for her (am not taking her to kfc, or mc d's"
We really liked it. We had a family room that while not 5 star it was great and well worth the price. The location was the great thing for us. The beach and area is quieter than a lot of the island now which, to me, is more Blackpool now than the traditional Thailand it was years ago. The staff were great. The breakfast was well cooked, well served and more than substantial enough to last us till dinner. The beach hut restaurants were great to eat at. Great range of food and perfectly made natural fruit drinks. Fantastic eating on the beach at night. When we moved to another hotel further away, we returned to this beach at night to eat.
No idea how long the bus takes. We always roped in someone at the hotels to drop us off or took taxis. Barter for prices though. Nothing is a long ride away and the drives are usually worth the views.
Wouldn't worry about Phuket Town. One visit there and you'll be glad to get back to the quiet areas. Market worth a visit though.
Really not sure how things will be at your time of year. I always go between November and March as the weather is at it's clearest. I'd check with people who have been then as the monsoon season is not so much rainy, but windy and dull. Been there in July once and ended up leaving and going to Penang.
Hope this helps a bit.
