Should we book a hotel in Portland and travel out each day--or are there hotels along the way--should we book ahead or take our chances in June?
We will be staying in Lincoln City and exploring the coast the week before and after Memorial Weekend. I have booked an equestrian wine tour in Dundee. We had planned on Saturday (Memorial Weekend). We also want to spend some time at the Saturday Market in McMinnville before our tour. I had read that driving up and down the coast Memorial Weekend is crazy with traffic. We were wondering if heading in and out of McMinnville from the coast will be bad as well? Google shows our drive in is about 1.25 hours...should we count on it being longer?
Would like to spend a day touring the wineries between Seattle and Portland. We are driving from Seattle Saturday morning. Any suggestions??
We are planning a trip to the Willamette Valley with friends and are thinking about this coming fall. What is the best time of year to visit Oregon (weather and avoiding the height of the tourist season). Isn't Cannon Beach only an hour or two away? What would be the top 3 highlights of a trip to Cannon Beach, Portland and the Willamette Valley?
I am trying to Plan a stop in the Willamette a couple day before Thanksgiving. It is my Wife's 30th Birthday. I am wondering a couple of things.
1) Will there be plenty to do in the area for two day at this time of year?
2) Are most places kid friendly? We have a 10 month old.
Hi, planning to visit Willamette Valley during 2nd week of October. Can we spend a day near Willamette Valley? What are the spots nearby where we can spend time as family?
Hey, I was wondering if you have a favorite/suggested route? I live nearby and have been curious about doing some biking down that way but I never know where to start.
How far is Dundee from downtown Portland and Willamette Valley when driving how long will it take to get to either place.
Looking for some advice two late 30 somethings planning a girls trip for late April 2017 for five nights. We were looking at the mcMenamin's Grand Lodge in Forest Grove as it has a spa and looks very reasonable with restaurant/bar on site. There looks to be a ton of wineries wondering if this is a good location or anyone has different recommendation for lodging that is under $200ish a night?
What are the best wineries to visit in the area in your opinion?
Other must do's or good restaurants?
Could you recommend a hotel to stay at in the valley there that is nice? What wineries do you suggest?
