I have tickets to Oakwood for tomorrow and I'm staying at Bluestone with my kids. We don't have a car so we'll be walking to Oakwood. Can anyone tell me what the best route is? I've been thinking to take the electric buggy to the Blue Lagoon car park and then walk from there. Is this feasible? Is there an entrance near there? Thank you for answers! Emily
Question: I like TripAdvisor and wished I had read the reviews before visiting Oakwood. However, when a theme park like this is consistently getting a 65% dissatisfaction rating, over the last 5 years - how many more people need to be ripped off before it enters some kind of TripAdvisor rouges gallery? Maybe then the Spanish owners (Aspro Parks) would take note, or better still - take action....
I feel for the staff at Oakwood, because I think they are doing their best. But what can you do when the parent company is so distant and presumably disinterested.
Contrast this park to Folly Farm (down the road) who score a 96% satisfaction rating! I know which one I would prefer to work at. Folly Farm can go into the superstars gallery, leaving poor old Oakwood in the rouges galley - what a difference a couple of miles make!
So glad you had a good day out and yes, for younger children Oakwood is a good day out. I think the problem is that for teenagers, so many of the adrenaline rides are constantly broken down. When we visited, the only two rides the lads wanted to go on were the water slides and the wooden roller coaster. Speed, Bounce and Drench were all broken down. A lot of money, for such a short visit.
Hello, does anyone know how much the powder costs at Oakwood for the after dark powder party?
