It is common practice for cruiselines to offer a credit for the difference between what you book your cruise for and any discounts that might be available after you book. Knowing this, I felt comfortable booking far in advance with the peace of mind that if the price did go down, they would find a way to make it right. The price did subsequently go down, do I called in to ask for the credit. The first person I spoke to told me that they only offered such a credit if the cruise seven or more days before departure. I reminded her that it was in fact seven days before departure. I was then placed on hold, a supervisor was consulted, and then was told that it was in fact 14 days prior to the cruise leaving. Considering the moving goal posts that conveniently excluded my credit, I asked to speak to the supervisor who then told me that he had never heard of such price reimbursements and that only future cruise credits were offered and that they are only for people who call 14 days in advance. I realize the cruise industry is hurting right now, but I can confidently tell you I will not be cruising with Norwegian again in the future since I have no way of knowing if I overpay for my cruise or not. I would recommend only booking norwegian if you are booking last minute.

By now, we consider ourselves to be reasonably well experienced cruisers, having used P&O & TUI quite a few times. We were apprehensive about Norwegian, as we had heard it was overrun with children. We love our own & our own grandchildren, but other peoples' ill-mannered monsters - no thank you. Subsequently discovered they had been excluded as they wouldn't have been vaccinated. What a result! Getting aboard was a bit of a fag, as we all had to go through the testing routine. For a queue-o-phobe that was a bit of a trial, but we got there in the end, and things got better. We had been upgraded! .....from a room with a view to a spacious room 5 floors up with a balcony. The boss was delighted, so that pleased me (beaucoupo brownie points :) ). There wasn't really anything about the cruise we found tiresome. All the staff were determined to make our experience a pleasant one, not like some of the workshy, customer-phobic lot on TUI & P&O. Really a breath of fresh air. Special mention for Minelli in one of the bars we frequented. She made us feel really welcome, and was an attentive ''waitress''. Great character too. Interesting to talk to, & interested in us to some extent. OK, it's all about tips the cynic in me says, but with some of these guys, they earn their tip. Minelli was one of them, God bless her. Having lost my Norwegian virginity, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. We had heard all sorts of horror stories about cruising with Americans, but we didn't experience anything untoward. As far as we could tell, they were on holiday & determined to have a ball, be it in the casino, at the deckside fun & games or whatever. Good luck to them. We enjoyed ourselves having a quiet time which was manifestly possible & suited us very well. I think I can say without fear of contradiction that every American we met in whatever circumstances was very courteous, polite, helpful, considerate. A bit like winding the clock back 50 years in UK, when people didn't used to be as downright obnoxious as they are these days. There was nothing we encountered that caused us any concern, even at the borders (except one ridiculous Hispanic woman at Memphis airport who was so far up her own derriere that I'm surprised she could see where she was going). Altogether, a great trip, thank you Norwegian.

I purchased a Cruise Next Voucher while I was on a cruise ship with Norwegian. Due to covid I have been unable to book another cruise. I checked a few months ago and they told me I could book a cruise and use both vouchers, when I checked the whole time in the past couple years they said I could use both vouchers - NOW THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR RULES - they only let you use one voucher per 7 day cruise. So now I have lost the other $250 voucher because it expires year end. THIS IS MY LAST NORWEGIAN CRUISE. I am done with being taken advantage of by this cruise line.

I really enjoyed my 3 cruises with them so far! After sailing with associates and having a terrible time, using NCL's solo program has really made me love this company! They treat solo's like VIP without the additional charge! The break away itself was an amazing ship. So much to do such good food just all around a great experience. I can not WAIT until cruising resumes so I can do another cruise with this company and possibly with this ship. The food and shows were great. At first I thought it would be weird taking a cruise in my 20's as a solo but after being introduced to solo travel in general and how freeing it can be, I'm glad I've done it and I will continue to do it in the future.
