My cruise was canceled because of COVID back in July. I requested a refund on July 14. They told me 60 days. Then after 60 days, they told me 2 more weeks. The. After the 2 weeks, they told me it needs to me after 90 days. Then after 90 days, they told me another 30 to 60 days. This was my first time ever booking with this company, and it will be my last time. All they do is lie, lie, lie and give any excuse not to give back my money!!!

Had May 2020 cruise cancelled for COVID. Six months later and dozens of phone calls to agents of American Airlines Cruises and MSC and I still have not received the refunds. dnferr@lsu.edu

My mum (60) and I (25) went on a 10 day cruise around the Caribbean. We started in Miami, Puerto Rico, St Thomas Virgin Islands, St Matreen & Bahamas then back to Miami. Balcony Cabin with drinks package. Food was nice and plenty of options (I'm not fussy) Balcony Cabin was great and bigger than expected. leaving/boarding ship was very straight forward and much faster than I thought it would be at each stop getting off and on you need to take your room card and passport. Negatives: Bar staff are very rude !! there are multiple bars to choose from and when we would go to the bar for water, can of soft drink or even the occasional alcoholic drink we would wait sometimes 20 minutes when there was no one else in the bar. For example we went to the sports bar one day which was empty as it was early afternoon most people are at the pool and asked for water the bar man decided to clean the bar and every table and fix the cookies on the tray and move them around I Waited 15 minutes and all he had to do was scan my card and hand the water to me but this is the type of behaviour and on a few occasions at night I seen people march out of the bar without a dink because they had been so fed up waiting and as I said there is multiple bars so I never found any one bar very busy maybe 3 people at the bar was the most I seen the full trip but with 2 bar staff most times at the bar you don't expect to wait 15/20 minutes especially when all they need to do is scan the card and hand you the drink most times a water or can of Soda. The bar outside near the glass bridge was the only place you could get a drink without standing around waiting ages and got service with a smile but the ship is massive so you find yourself at different parts but I started sunbathing at this part purely to get a drink as it was very warm mid May 2019. This was my first and last cruise unfortunately due to the attitude of the bar staff we found ourself drinking the machine juice at the buffet because it would simply take so long at the bar and being ignored constantly and other travellers also had the same complaint.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a balcony room for an 8 day cruise to the Caribbean. When reading the reviews about the cruise line, we were very worried that it wasn’t going to go well... but EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, they definitely were not understaffed and things were done in a timely manner like embarking, disembarking, the safety drill, etc. The food wasn’t great, but we also did the bare minimum and only got food from the buffet (I’m also vegetarian so it made things harder for me) but my boyfriend said the burgers were good and I can say the pizza was good! The entertainment on the top deck was wonderful, and we made it to every island on time. Our experience was wonderful.. thank you to all the hard working people that made our experience stellar. (-: (p.s. I forgot to mention everything was kept super duper clean as well)

Customers beware... We booked a trip back on March 14th. We called the night before to confirm if the cruise was still set to go. They assure us they was good to go and said to come on down. We flew down and arrived to port only to hear they cancel cruise due to cova 19 and said they will give us full refund in 60 days. We were mad but better safe then sorry. But Now here it is over 60 days past and we still have not received our refund. We spoke with several representatives inquiring about our refund. Everyone has different excuse. One says refund was processed last week to contact our bank. We called our bank and they assured us there is no hold on wire transfer and there was no requested of credit to our account from MSC. We called MSC back and spoke with another rep. She stating it was just processed. We explain we have already spoke with our bank and they assured us nothing has come through from MSC. We then asked for a supervisor. She apologized for miss information and that it be another 10 more days. 😡. This company is still taking money for future cruising But not processing refunds accordingly. I Know we are not alone dealing with miss management mess. But I hope this saves some one else from going through the same mess.
