9 days on the MSC Seashore. Buffet food the same every day. Looks good, but lacking in taste appeal. Their website is seriously disfunctional. After several fruitless days of trying, phone calls finally got the job done. Itinerary was boring. Nothing at the stops except massage parlors, trinkets and t-shirts, beach tours, or swim with the dolphins. Bartenders don't know how to fix drinks. They get old fast, and taste weak. Forget trying to find a quiet spot outside your cabin to read and relax. Their piped in music is everywhere, and the volume is way too much. Imagine having coffee on the deck at 6:30, and having to listen to "It's Your Thing." I was the only one on the pool deck, to watch the sunrise, but had to go down to try to get away from it. The worst thing was the Internet, or lack of it. On other cruises, you could buy an Internet plan for one device, disconnect it, and connect another device. Not on MSC...you have to buy a plan for every device. I shelled out almost $300 in nine days for way less than adequate service. I visited the service desk and Internet kiosk for several days, trying to figure out why I couldn't send photos through iMessage. They kept resetting the account, telling me to upgrade to the surf and stream package, but it never did work. I finally figured out that the ship has it blocked, because I could send photos fine when I got on wifi on shore in Jamaica. When I asked them about it, they said you could only send photos on iMessage if you were connected to the ship's expensive cellular plan. You could send photos by WhatsApp or Facebook messenger though. One of the Internet staff was extremely rude, and shouted incorrect info to me. I corrected him, over his refusal to listen, and a lady nearby thanked me because she said he had treated her like a piece of meat. Their private island, Ocean Cay, was a great place to play in the water, on the beach, grab some snacks, or relax. The ship was nice, cabin was nice, staff was good, it was great to only have 900 on board, the weight room was awesome, massage and sauna were good, other amenities were good, but all the above just took the fun out of it for me. I have cruised a lot, and never had issues with the Internet like that. Nice ship, but they just don't have their act together. No, I don't plan to sail with them again until they get things fixed.

Cabin: Cabin was pretty spacious, but beyond that it was average. Shower didn't have door or curtain draw (had to be a contortionist to not wet the floor) Nice cabin stewardess, kept room clean but did not clean hot tub Dining: Below average to Poor food quality, the best item in the main restaurants was the coffee, they used the same buffet items for items in the Dining Room menus (dressed up of course), items were dry and not tasty. Bothersome specialty restaurant staff constantly patrolling the buffet areas trying to push specialty packages on you to get you to (you guessed it) spend more money... Service: Not set up well. Not that I believe that they mean to not perform well, I just don't think that they have tried to perfect processes (communications, Pools & Sundecks: If you are a "Yacht Club Member", then you enjoyed well set up areas not accessed by the general public and did not experience poor waiter and waitress service to deck areas around pool. My kids had to plan their times around the water slides being open (very limited hours) Onboard Activities: WHAT ACTIVITIES!!! A karaoke bar, a few trivia sessions, and a few themed music setups were it!!!. Entertainment: There was a arcade area that was ok... And a youth area that my kids didn't even want to hang out in... No shows, music acts, comedians, etc. Value: As I stated in the title, good pricing, but I will never go with MSC again Overall it would have been an excellent cruise experience 25 or 30 years ago.....

What a terrible week we had. Would never go on a MSC Cruise ship again. The food was diabolical. Every meal was cold. Things stated in brochure was not correct. Chargers for mobile phone only worked if you were in the higher classes! There definitely was a divide in classes. The pools on the ship was very small and places on the ship were not sign posted very well. Staff in the buffet style restaurant was rude and the easy drinks package was very questionable, was not full strength drinks!! I wouldn't touch this cruise line with a barge pole. This is a brand new ship and yet everywhere on this ship was having maintenance done. We have cruised many times but this cruise was a disaster.

I'd say I was a moderately experienced cruiser, having gone on about 20. This is my 5th msc cruise, My first in the med, although not my first visit to Italy. Its Oct. 21' so most of America is recovering and whining about slow restaurant service. Not the case on this cruise ship.. Much of italy is on track with us. Masking and social distancing, a new green pass law. But msc didn't get the memo. Of course they claim covid to prevent cruisers from going into port. Unless it's a double usual price shore excursion. (OH by the way no English guides with msc in the ports) But the public areas of the ship are crowded like precovid time Square on New years. Lines, lines everywhere. I can't imagine what it's like at full capacity. You get it, I dont feel safe. Let's talk food. All the msc cruises stateside, at least pre covid served Italian food, varied and delicious. I loved the food. I never found a need to go to a specialty restaurant. This one, though. Your choices: chicken or fish. The chicken looks stewed more than roasted, as they claim. And smelly cheap fish like mackerel which they also stew, every damned day. I mean it. Every day. The same 3 types of pasta. Every damned day. I'm on day 4 right now, and need to make a dining reservation to catch a decent meal. I'm sailing aurea, which is one step below their elite class, but forget turndown service, forget all the amenities you expect. You want breakfast delivery you get tang for juice, dry rolls, coffee and the nastiest yogurt I ever tasted. You don't even get a welcome aboard map or breakfast cards. You have to ask, every day. It's a joke. But LORD knows, they still sell all their crap. Effie diamonds, cheap purses. All that mscforme app is good for is the text messages about free massage consultations. Important ship info is not on it. If I could leave this God forsaken cruise right now without losing even more money, I would.

in July I booked and paid for 2 cabins to set sail on September 10 from Rome on the MSC SEASIDE. Days before departure they sent me an email notifying that they would only accept passengers from the Schengen area on board. and my money could not be returned. They only sent me a valid voucher to use or give it away. But the serious thing is that at the time of selling the cruise to me, the measure of boarding only passengers from the Shengen space was already in force in MSC
