I have cruised before. Got used to the pampering for sure. Was this cruise bad? No. Was it the same as my other cruises? Yes. If you expect pampering…chocolate on your pillow. Forget it. But for an affordable cruise it’s worth it. The shows were not as spectacular but we did enjoy them. There was not the craft activities I’m used to. There was only one day of towel folding. The hot tubs were not even available as they were packed 24/7! The food was ok. Guys burgers fabulous! That option and the pizza were the best burgers/pizza that I’ve ever had on a cruise! The room and bathroom were outdated but not bad. They don’t have enough signs directing you and the public bathrooms are hard to find. A bit disorganized…we didn’t know how to get our room keys, changing dining tables couldn’t be done with customer service but only with the maitre d’. A major problem is that the entertainment is right where the customer service desk is…couldn’t ever hear when I needed help. This time however was the first time on a cruise where there was enough lounge chairs on decks. Maybe because everyone was crammed in the hot tub!

The Carnival Conquest was not our first cruise, but it was our first suite. The experience is exactly the same as any other Carnival cruise. But this ship is old and it's air ducts haven't been cleaned in years, probably since it was launched in 2002. The first thing you see when entering your stateroom is a film of dust on everything. The glasses are changed daily and when not touched immediately begin to acquire dust. This coupled with the moist and warm environment has created the perfect storm for toxic mold. If you have mold allergies and/or are prone to Tocix Mold Illness, do not sail on this ship! The best part of our sailing was "No Mames Alex" with his fun and friendly antics. I'd also advise to steer clear of the Glass Bottom Boat excursion. Not worth the money.

Purchased Travel Ins via Carnival Cruise Line site, AON Travel. Severe respiratory infection 18 days before sailing. Filed a claim with 3 travelers which I had purchased our sailing package. Almost 90 days, hang up phone calls, repetitive request for same information, I was exhausted, Filed a claim in BBB. Response of a denial received within 24 hours. Buyer travelor beware!

the room was comfy though our room attendant did not change the sheets daily as it was visible spots on the bed sheets. the pools and hot tubs became filthy dirty unable to enjoy after returning from Keywest stop the cruise ship engine/perpelas started shooting out what appeared to be black tar on one side of the ship deck hit me on my shoulder then the entire deck side floor and lounge chairs had that black tar all over they had to close it down but it seems that this is a usual and they did not inform us nor close it the pools became filthy from it as well so no one could enjoy them during our sea day due until late night or the next day in which we arrived at cozumel mexico . over all it was a good experience for a first cruise just not sure if i would recommend anyone to take this cruise ship if they are planning on spending time on sea more than land if the pools and hot tubs are not clean for enjoyment . there was a mess all over the deck from that falling tar once the ship geared up for sail after keywest the entire night the deck was wet with pebbles of that tar on the lounge chairs all over the pools unusable .. the captain made it super fun. chao chao :) . over all not bad for the price with the exception of my issues above. They should have closed the deck off i got hit with hot tar on my shoulder while enjoying the view on deck right after returning from the port waiting to sail . i wish is had more water activities and never saw the spa that was advertised . overall i cant really complain if i had paid a lot more for this cruise then i would totally be dissatisfied completely.

I booked a Carnival cruise for my 22 yr old son and his 18 yr old girlfriend for a Xmas present. At the time of booking, I gave all their info including DOB. Yesterday they flew from CT to Miami. When they arrived at the port they were refused entry because no one in their party was 26+ years old! They were left in a strange city, a trip (including food) paid for in full, a minimal amount of spending money and no where to go. They called me panicked and crying (his girlfriend anyway)! I got on the phone with the cruise line and they refused to make an exception- even though they do make exceptions for married couples and military.? They even had the nerve to suggest that they go get married! Why wouldn’t they call, email, send a letter- something? UNACCEPTABLE!! TERRIBLE customer service.
