Great place to see history of the Texas rangers. Recommend the movie which is 45 minutes long. It needs to be updated but does a great job explaining the beginnings to recent past. Great exhibits but a lot of reading to get full context. Free parking and next to visitor center.

I give full credit to the young ranger guide who gave us the tour of the building / site. He was highly enthusiastic and seemed to know a great deal about both this species of mammoths as well as the site at large. It is impressive to quickly learn how much research has been done (and is ongoing) at this site. It's a bit like a natural history mystery tour, since you want to figure out what actually lead to this group of mammoths' deaths. Getting here and parking is easy, though it gets quite busy quickly the weekend we were there.

At first we were disappointment since the first 2 displays were closed. But that soon changed. The other animals are actually closer to see than we have experienced in other zoos. This zoo does not have tons of each type, maybe 2-3, but they were all out for our viewing. Our day was in the 60's and that helps in Texas. We walked the entire zoo, logged in over 5500 steps so a nice layout. We spent 2 full hours seeing the animals.

Children loved the Otters' Slide - The slide is see-through and goes under the water. The otters were eating on top of the slide so the children could see them up close when they slid down.

Wheelchairs or knee scooters can be used

Area of improvement: Not all of the displays were labeled. There were several where our family and a group of others were trying to figure out what we were seeing. That was a disppointment and huge miss on the zoo's part.

Food: TOO Expensive and only pretzels were available (which were the most expensive item on their menu).

    Bathrooms were clean

Staff: We saw very little so can't rate them.

I went here today with my best friends and had an incredible time. The wine was amazing, view was incredible, and Stacy was top notch. Everyone was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of at all times. 10/10 we would come back and will recommend this place to everyone!

We love Dr. Pepper, so we had to come here when traveling through Waco. It's a nice museum, though it's a bit small, especially if you've been to a larger soft drink museum like the World of Coca-Cola, but the exhibits they had were well done. Admission was $10/person and it's $10 to park and we also did a soda tasting experience that was $12/person. The soda tasting was fun and we got to try some sodas that we've never had before, which is always fun. We also tried Dr. Pepper floats and they were tasty, but very filling. It's a nice little museum and one we'd recommend you visit if you're a fan of Dr. Pepper or beverage history given that it's the US's oldest major soft drink.

This was our one last stop as we left Waco and carried on down the road. The sculptures of the cattle and cowboys and drovers are worth the stop alone, pretty amazing in all the detail. Walking out across the bridge gives you a great view of the river and the walkways and riverbank. Not a long stop, but definitely worthwhile.

This D1 college football stadium is super beautiful. Overlooking the Brazos River, it is truly a great place to watch a game as the seats throughout the stadium are situated so that you can easily see all the action from anywhere. The people are great! Super fun to be around, and the energy here is electric. Food isn’t too good, but that’s the same for all college football stadiums. You’ll want to sneak your own food in!

We went on a tour with Sherry, which lasted around 1-1/2 hours. This is a beautiful library housing a collection of antiques, personal belongs, furniture, letters, and art work belonging to Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The history is interesting and informative. You could probably visit the library on your own, but, if possible, schedule a docent led tour to get the most out of your visit. Located on the Baylor campus. There is free street parking around the building.

This is a great place for young and older people alike. If you are not thrilled about young kids running around, you may want to skip this, but if you don't mind, it's worth the trip. There is a humpback whale skull that's enormous, a bunch of dinosaur and Cretaceous era fossils, and walk-in dioramas where you feel like you're walking back in time, into the forest, for example, there's also a replica of the Waco Mammoth National Monument. Plan to spend a couple of hours here.

We spent the week touring Texas college campuses with our son. Baylor truly rolled out the red carpet for their prospective students and it was the best tour in TX!

The Branding the Brazos Sculpture is life-sized and beautiful. It takes up a lot of room at the beginning or end (depending on where you start) of the pedestrian Suspension bridge in Waco. It is only a short excursion, but well worth seeing.
