The best hike of the island! Wonderful hike with Prakash from Green Discovery. Prakash is an amazing person with great communication skills. We felt so much at ease with him. We were well pampered with homemade local food and fruits. Contact Prakash on WhatsApp +23057608367. He replies promptly and organizes everything nicely. We highly recommend Green Discovery. Great moment captured.

Very nice place with many sea entertainment activities. Nice nature. It requires more shelters from the sun and fresh water showers to wash away the salt.

Not an easy hike but what a wonderful experience! The only way to do it is with the guide Prakash from Greendiscovery. You can contact him on WhatsApp +230 57608367. He’s a certified, professional guide and also a beautiful human being. As we hiked he also told us stories about Mauritius, the history behind Le Morne, and we just had a real good time! Two days later I went for a Tamarin falls tour with him as well.
    Highly recommend

We had about two hours at the end of a day’s sightseeing so didn’t get to explore everywhere in the gardens but what we saw was beautiful. There was a lot of damage from two recent cyclones but this can’t be helped and you could see a clean up had begun. It was beautiful to wander, the only thing spoiling our experience was the tour guides at the entrance who didn’t want to take ‘no’ for an answer and persisted in trying to bully us into taking a tour. This only made us more determined not to do it and it all got abit awkward

Excellent experience with well cared for animals. Friendly guide who shared her knowledge & explained the operation of the entire facility clearly.

A short stop away from where we were staying we visited this and 7 coloured earths the same day. No need to pay for a tour or guide to visit the view point. Either hire a car and visit or walk from 7 coloured earths.

We only stopped at the view point as the weather had been bad for hiking ( lots of rain) but it meant that the waterfall was full compared to other pictures we had seen.

The beach is very long, with several areas and we chose to spend the day more to the south, where just off the sand there are plenty of trees to take cover in from the sun. The colour of the water was fantastic, the water was warm - and all the other people in that area, were families like ours, who were perfectly respectful of our space and the environment. There are lovely views over to Le Morne Brabant, especially whilst bobbing around in the sea. Lovely way to spend a few hours although there was an ice cream van parked nearby who had his 'jingle' playing for hours - which became annoying. Still, that was just where we were - and we can recommend this beach.

Using a local guide, and having come ready with walking boots, we had a fabulous trek visiting 7 waterfalls. We had a cooling swim in one, lovely. Not crowded but some folks were ‘self guiding’ and not wearing good footwear so they struggled in the steep, slippery slopes.
Probably a 3 hr trek, including our swim. Fantastic day. The local guide, Govind Tanos , was superb as he knew the plants, the best routes and how to get the most out of the walk.

Great to see when in Mauritius, natural beauty.
Didn't enjoy the balls of ice called the coldest ever ice cream sold at the Geopark. Bit of a rip off for what it is.
Got to see some old Aldabra tortoises.
    The waterfalls are great.
Cheap for what it is. Ticket includes waterfalls, the Geopark coloured Earth a d Tortoises.
If interested there is zipline and Nepalese bridge activity available that you can book directly at the adventure park next to the Geopark.
    Parking is available.
We didn't pay to see the shell museum.
There is Ebony Forest there too but we didn't pay for that separately. If you have been to the Black River National Park don't feel need to see Ebony Forest too.

We rode on a good boat, didn't get boatsick [see Robben Island review] since it doesn't have a roof. Hopped off, then saw Aldebra giant tortoise. First tour part was baby tortoises and bats. Then there were lizards, a kiosk, pink pigeons then it was garden right near extra giant tortoise, B.D. Afraid because it nearly bit my sister's finger. Other stuff and honestly like my garden.

Best beach in the grand baie area.
Clean sand, light blue waters and no resort and tourist trap (just avoid the restaurant at the beginning of the beach).
Plenty of trees in case you want to avoid direct sunlight.
