What travellers are saying
- Kim S ANew York City, NY98 contributionsMust see if you are in this city. On on side of the canal, there is historical architecture to admire and on the other side you can check out many designer brands that are available for shopping enthusiasts. If the weather is nice, you can take a stroll along the water and enjoy the scenery.Written 16 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elbie TravelsUnited States2 contributionsVisited the classic remise recently. Totally loved the unique and wide variety of cars that were on location. They also have a collection of motorbikes on the other side. I almost missed that part since it is not in the same location as the cars so make sure you don't miss it. They also have a nice restaurant where I had something to drink since it was very warm when I visited.
I have uploaded a sneak peak of the place on my channel (Elbie Travels) incase you would like to have an idea about the place.Written 17 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff were very friendly and their English knowledge was pretty good to me. Am not advising people with severe phobia of heights to visit here as it is over 100m up at the viewing platform.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil KLiverpool, UK6,19,734 contributionsRheinuferpromenade is a wonderful waterfront promenade that brings you into the wonderful Altstadt onto the equality beautiful Burgplatz, home to the most beautiful Christmas market in Dusseldorf, lots of stalls all beautifully decked out for Christmas period, along the promenade are all manner of bars and the views are outstanding across the River Rhein.
Great looking buildings along the promenade, Schlossturn is a wonderful historic tower ,all in all a great promenade to check out if you're planning a holiday to Dusseldorf.Written 18 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were completely unaware about Karnevale before travelling and were a little taken aback by same at first however we embraced the celebrations as we wandered through the Aldstadt over the course of the weekend. Unfortunately we hadnt brought out costumes but did enjoy the old streets and architecture of the area.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,607 contributionsThis is a nice area to take a stroll in. The buildings are quirky and well worth a look at. It was December when we went so cold but you can see that there is also a place in the river where you can take a swim in the summer.Written 3 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BernRDanville, CA519 contributionsOur second Christmas Market Tour with the company. Enjoyed both. All things considered the company’s choices for destinations and curated excursions is above board. But then we only have two companies to compare. In fairness, the company that hosted our summer river cruise failed to deliver miserably. All told, I would rather string together an itinerary by land via planes, trains, and automobiles as we did on our backpacking tour of Europe many years ago. I provided feedback to the company and will certainly purchase their product again.Written 23 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JaxAmericanNJ341 contributionsEasily accessibly by U73 or tram from the middle of Düsseldorf, nice for a walk and the "Schöne Aussicht". Then you can wander around until you find the WIldpark, but it's not obvious! The park map does not correspond to Google and neither one corresponds to what's on the ground, and to add to the confusion there are signs that make you think you're going the right way (when you're not)... but if you have a sense of direction you can figure it out.
As a former teacher I have to add that the park provides no fewer than 29 worksheets (you can find them online) intended for probably middle grade students. If you are still learning German they are wonderful! First you read an informative paragraph and then they have a little activity to do "now that you're an expert". I found them to be really fun; the reading level was a little high for me but that's how you learn. Just in case you might be interested...Written 19 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil KLiverpool, UK6,19,734 contributionsPast this great looking building as we were crossing over the bridge over to Oberkassel, viewed it before and it still impresses me.
A great looking building, constructed in 1926 ,it was originally a planetarium, the largest such building in the world ,during the 1970's it was converted into a concert hall ,its a very popular concert hall in Dusseldorf, its capacity is 2500 ,I love the look of this building, its dome the most distinctive feature of the building, all in all its a great building to view and well worth checking out if you're near Ehrenhof by the bridge.Written 25 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
