Such a brilliant experience with the loveliest of falconry experts. It was informative and interesting and emotional; all at the same time! Highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible place for our two children (5 & 7 years old). They did the hour climbing taster session followed by the caving. They loved it! So much we came back two weeks later. The instructors on each occasion were Harrison and Alex. Both were patient with the children and taught them so much about this great sport. Thank you so much!

Have been wanting to visit 78 Derngate for some time and wasn't disappointed. Our guide for the tour was excellent...highly informative and with a gentle sense of humour. The visit was relaxed with opportunities to explore the house in more detail on our own after the official tour. This is a gem of a place, restored to a very high standard and with great facilities.

A plain, square looking country house from the outside, this shape facilitates a light and airy inside which shows off the family's art collection to good effect. The house is stuffed with antiquities and there are lots of guides on-hand to tell you all about it and relay interesting stories about famous people who stayed there over the years.

The grounds do not have many flower boarders, rather you can marvel at the magnificent mature trees that abound. And of course the jewel in the crown is the lake where Dianna rests.

Worth a visit if you're in the area.

What a find! We only visited as we hadn’t spent as long as we thought we would at Althorp and it was still early afternoon. We were so pleased we did. This place is wonderful. We enjoyed it so much. In the garden I took a picture of a plant I particularly liked and whilst getting a cup of coffee from the cafe I asked if I emailed the picture in would one of the gardeners tell me what it was. The lady in the cafe said I’ll get a gardener now for you. Within 5 minutes, I knew what the plant was and although they didn’t normally sell small plants, he had potted on 3 that day and was happy to sell. These have thrived in our greenhouse and I can’t wait to see them in the garden. I hope that one year I am in the area to see the bluebells in flower in the woods. I’d revisit this place tomorrow!

Fantastic show at the Royal and Derngate Theatre. Giovanni is absolutely amazing. What a show! Excellent views from the seats (stalls). Lots of eating/ drinking options around the theatre. The theatre is a 10 minute walk from the station. I had to get the bus to Northampton as there was a train strike when I attended but easy to navigate around the town. I had a very enjoyable time and I've already booked up for another visit.

Really nice to visit and lovely walks. Unfortunately because of the cost locals rarely visit. Surely a season ticket for locals could be offered.

Took my daughter to see Taylormania last night! What a fantastic experience from start to finish in a beautiful venue. It was so lovely to see all the families having such a great time singing all the songs!

The building is amazing and there are always exhibitions. We spent time downstairs exploring the Shoe Museum, it was our second visit. The video about Shoe making is very informative. The shoe collection is amazing, from early types of shoes to modern footwear. There are plenty of interactive screens which are easy to use. You can also try your hand at creating your own shoe. I would recommend to anybody having 1 hour to spare in Northampton.

A wonderful find! Such a contrast to loud and crowded town centre pubs - plenty of room, reasonably priced beers and lovely period details.

A beautiful park with an aviary, cafe , lake and small handmade waterfall, a bandstand and tennis courts. Swans on the lake and cygnets.
A church on site. Part of the park is over the road. Free parking on side toads. Cafe is good abit expensive. Seating in and outside. Very popular. The peacock and budgerigars were beautiful.
There was unusual small birds by the Brook. I think they were wagtails.
Toilets at the cafe and others.

Beautiful cafe/restaurant - nice food, good service excellent value for money - but the abbey itself was closed and a park run made the grounds impassible. Planning on going back!
