- Yvonne BPenticton, Canada387 contributionsMy sister and I decided to go for a picnic at Skaha Lake Park. Although a little windy, we decided to walk to this lovely beach. As we neared the lake, the wind became more powerful and whipped the water into rough waves. We set up at a table near the Vallarta Grill en La Playa. After ordering our food, we turned our attention to the lake and enjoyed watching five wind surfers as they skimmed over the water, their colourful sails carrying them over the waves. Joining them were seven brave souls parasailing across the lake surface. Their watercraft sported very colourful rigging of different shapes and various designs on these sails. They rode the waves and became airborne at times, giving those that watched them an enjoyable show. After we finished our picnic lunch, we walked long the sandy beach before heading home. It’s wonderful to live in such a beautiful place where one can enjoy swimming, boating, water skiing or watch others as they surf or sail the lake.Written 17 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yvonne BPenticton, Canada387 contributionsThis Saturday morning trip to the Penticton Market was made with my sister, her daughter and a mutual friend. We hadn’t visited this activity for several years due to Covid and other extenuating circumstances. It was exciting to visit the vendors selling everything from farm products to clothing and everything in between. A female singer entertained potential customers as they wandered among the many stalls. Mouth-watering smells drew us to the food area where there was a great variety of tasty items for purchase. Since our plans involved going out for a late lunch, we didn’t buy anything in this section but moved onto another and purchased fresh local farm fruits and vegetables. We stopped and looked at personal products including bath salts, perfumes, gels and other bathing things. A variety of jewellery, made from so many different metals, beads and stones were offered for sale. After a final look, we decided to leave for our next adventure: lunch at a new restaurant in town.Written 1 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter FBowen Island, Canada405 contributionsI did not go there- I simply bought their Muscat wine, which is excellent and a bargain. Muscat was their first planting, 1984, and is bright, floral and refreshing. Only slightly off-dry.
For a real different treat, try this wine.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The ship was amazing and interesting to see how people traveled bag in the day.Written 22 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FunTimesInNaplesFLNaples, FL35 contributionsWhen you go to a boutique winery, you expect to be served some nice wines. Well, when you go to Ruby Blues Winery you get this and a lot more. You will receive a tasting of some stellar varietals and I rank them right up there with any of the other Naramata / Penticton wineries. The grounds are so picturesque and the view looking out over the vineyards down towards Lake Okanagan is so memorable. The 60’s theme is perfectly captured by their use of decorated VW’s But the real treat you will get at RB’s Winery is your interaction with the people who work there. They are very experienced with their varietals, but they have lived here and know the history, the culture and vibe of the wine area. Whether you are served by Kerry, Sharon or Geraldine, you will thoroughly enjoy their knowledge, their passion and their wit in addition to a great tasting. We certainly did and will definitely return again to Ruby Blues with our family & friends.Written 13 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TexasTeaTexasTexas98 contributionsThey were sold out of most of their usual wines as it is so late in the year. We tried the 3 fortified wines and really liked them all. Our host was super friendly and knowledgeable. Our favorites of the 3 fortified wines we tried were the N V Liqueur Muscat and the Vintage Port. We will keep ordering both and will have it on our must stop each time we visit the area.Written 17 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Weary Traveller6 contributionsShort drive from the beach and a short (5 min) walk up. Beautiful views of both Okanagan and Skaha Lakes. - Where_to_travel_nextVancouver, Canada4,446 contributionsThe view from their patio is lovely. We came here for a tasting and charcuterie combo. With covid-19 our food item was served in disposable containers which brought down the experience a notch but happily enjoyed.Written 18 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ryanvanveenphotographyVernon, Canada465 contributionsDespite the fact that apex is a relatively small ski hill it packs a good punch for its size! A triple chair on the far left of the resort offers great groomer/intermediate terrain and the quad offers great skiing over the rest of the hill! Snow conditions are usually pretty consistent and the weather is often great up there! I’d highly recommend the trees and some of the chutes and bowls if you’re an advanced skier!! Overall it’s a fantastic mountain and I love riding here!Written 16 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
