Lake Dora Mount Dora
#1 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
It was peaceful, you will go into a natural preserve and see lots of nature, plants, beautiful cypress trees with Spanish moss, birds of all kinds, turtles, alligators and much more.
The town is lovely and the park offers picnic tables and a board walk where you can spot wildlife as well as trails through the Florida woodlands.
#2 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
Nice bike trails, clean beaches, hiking, and it has terrific screened in porch cabins that you can rent on a daily basis, completely furnished for your family, plus a nice Campground... terrific State Park!
The lake areas are beautifully maintained, the hiking trails have workout stations & are perfect to scope out wildlife, & all in all, the park is just a wonderful place to escape to.
Wooton Park Tavares
#3 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
We enjoyed walking through the gorgeous landscaped park and seeing banana trees and lush jungle like plants.
Wooton is a great place to stroll around looking at nature, watching birds and other critters run about, and see the kids go berserk at the splash park and playground.
#4 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
We enjoyed seeing all of the different water birds- egrets, herons, etc. Beautiful park that you could walk around, or you could just sit and enjoy the scenery.
The park is very serene, and is surrounded by beautiful lakes and luscious landscape.
Lake Minneola Clermont
#5 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
In season, there is a water park for kids for a low cost of $2. Wide, paved bike trail (13 miles that i know of) - bike, jog, walk, skate - really nice!
Nice bike path to walk along side of the lake, water sport rentals, beach area, splash park and the downtown shopping area is just a couple blocks away.
Trimble Park Mount Dora
#6 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
Trimble Park has a wonderful lakeshore boardwalk to observe the unique birds of this beautiful habitat as well as the scenic sunsets!
What it is though is a great park, well kept, with opportunities to fish, play games, take the kids or be a kid yourself for a while on the playground or just relax under the shade or the large Oak trees.
#7 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
Beautiful lake, beautiful park and boardwalk, beautiful birds and sunsets.
It is fun to grab a bite to eat in Eustis and then come to the park to walk a bit and enjoy our beautiful Florida weather.

Their are a lot of places to drive your 4-wheel drive vehicles around, ride a bike, or take a nature walk.
You can spend the afternoon, day, and weeks in this gorgeous, and huge, state park.
Lighthouse Park Mount Dora
#9 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
Lighthouse Park is right on Lake Dora, with good walking paths, beautiful lakefront views, and lots of benches if you want to rest, read a book, or just enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Officially known as Grantham Point Park, next to the Mount Dora Marina and the public boat ramps, is where you will find the Mount Dora Lighthouse.
Lake Griffin State Park Fruitland Park
#10 of 50 Nature & Parks in Lake County
The Park offers daily paddle tours of the "Dead River" marsh (both daytime tours and moonlight tours), which is wildlife area leading to Lake Griffin(Florida's 8th largest lake).
Lovely live oaks, nature trail, facilities - all in good order.
