Great place. Must to visit small visit restaurant near to the ticket counter and S curve (100 meters, named MUNROE GREEN ISLAND FAMILY RESTAURANT). Great and fresh Fish, Crab, Prawns and Rabit, made out of Authentic Kerala local style masala.

We had booked just one night, and we had such a great time. Mr Shyju greeted us and showed us around, and even arranged a taxi to pick us up on our return. We had the boat to ourselves with 3 crew members to look after us. The food was amazing and plentiful, and when we stopped for the night, one of the guys went to get us some beer. Our every need was taken care of. Couldn't fault the experience at all.

Excellent experience. Guide Agnell was superb. Winds were a little high but he guided us through it. Don’t give up paddling, even if it seems difficult. Mangrove Forest was so worth the hard work!

This was my first Road trip experience which I have ever dreamt of. The journey with the despatch rider started as planned on an early morning from coimbatore to Wayanad via Ooty, sharing his valuable guidelines on the importance of safe and disciplined riding, to the riders who are new to a hill station ride.

We camped at a pleasant homestay which has a beautiful river nearby and enjoyed yummy native food along with camp fire and musical nights. The planning was perfect for all the 3 days with water fun at Kuruvadweep island,  Chembra peak Trekking, Lakkidi night view point and Thirunelli temple visit. The extraordinary adventurous experience with the trip was the Off road riding we all enjoyed at 900 acres. Needless to say the passionate addictive rider unni's power at his feet, and the control at his finger tips when riding at off road. Total freedom, total control and spirit awakened with focused ride was an amazing feel I enjoyed with him.

Not all riders can give you their experience as a journey on road. But you did it "The Despatch Rider".

In short, the 3 days at wayanad was an awesome, exciting , breathtaking , fantastic, fun filled and had a safer road trip loaded with beautiful memories. Above all we 3 of us met each other for first time but still we could make a perfect sync and all of us became good friends in the trip. Thank you so much Unni, for giving me this wonderful opportunity. :-)

We booked a 6-hour day trip in Dec'24 during our vacation in Kerala. We paid a very high amount for this boat trip as it was a late booking during the peak season. But we received not much value for the price we paid. Some things were simply so frustrating -

    1. Did not have rotis/chapatis - We were shocked that the lunch was served only with rice. When we complained to the owner about this at the end of the ride, he said he just forgot to add Rotis to the menu. We couldn't believe our ears.

    2. Below-average food - The owner claimed at the start of the ride that the food would be very good. But on the contrary, the food taste was below average at best.

    3. basics missing - A basic thing like a tomato sauce was not there. Also, had to ask for a hand towel and soap that were not there in the bathroom.

    4. Casual attitude - The attitude of the cook especially was very casual. He served the evening tea and snacks in a very casual manner.

Unfortunately, we felt that the high amount of money we spent did not give us much value to us. I guess during the peak season, many people just focus on charging as much money as possible from the tourists.
