What travellers are saying
- Sindhu MWest Bloomfield Township, MI57 contributionsAvoid going when it's a holiday and school vacation this place is not capable of handling huge crowds. We waited for 2 hours to buy a ticket then another 2 hours to get the cable car and another hour and a half to get the return cable car. Avoid day time its hot like hellWritten 17 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- mysticseekerChennai (Madras), India209 contributionsFalls in the middle of Kerala forest is well maintained and clean, strict rules are enforced about not throwing plastic and waste about, which is a good initiative. Few pointers
1. You need to take only the local forest bus up to the falls so you need to buy tickets. During the day, queues can be quite long. So go early or ensure one person from your group stands in line before another buys the tickets
2. There is a small cafe where the bus drops you off near the falls. Limited items available. You may have a long wait before you are able to actually get what you paid for.
3. The walk up to the falls and even down to the bathing area is very uneven and slippery at times, so be careful while walking.
4. The view point at the top is beautiful, although a very steep walk ahead
5. There is a changing room for the women, which is a huge plus point.
6. If visiting during day, advised to carry enough water and small snacks while you wait to get on the bus.
7. Treat people with respect! And don’t be a nuisance!

The soft sand, clear water, and cool sea breeze make it a great place to relax or take a long walk. The sunset views are stunning and definitely worth staying for. The beach is clean and has plenty of space to sit and enjoy the view, with small stalls nearby offering tasty local snacks. Whether you’re there to chill, take photos, or just enjoy the sound of the waves, Kollam Beach is a refreshing escape from the hustle of daily life.Written 9 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chitra MKollam, India54 contributionsWonderfully well maintained temple. The deities both Mahadeva and ganapathi gives one a divine feeling.. The numerous oil lamps on four sides of The temple walls is always an out of the world experience..
The crowd however could be more organised as to maintaining separate entry and exit lines.

I heard she s been there for 20 years in a cage yark. They should give her to a rescue center. That practice for us goes against what is being praised here....we did not like the guru adoration part eather...pictures and dolls...a bit too much for us.Written 27 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
