Main fort is on the top of the mountain .The fort has only one entrance and exit .In the ruin of old fort there is a tower Chand Minar of 210 feet Both sides of walkway entrance good green lawn are laid . It is the palace which was built by the Aurangazeb to gift his wife. It is similar to Taj Mahal at Agra. This palace is also called as Biwi ka Makbara. By visiting this site we can enjoy ancient Mughal designs of the palace.

The minar was built to commemorate the victory of Bahamani Sultan over the Daulatabad fort. The minar is at same level of the fort and you need not climb stairs to reach here.So if you don’t able to see the entire fort just go upto chand minar. The entrance and stairs leading to top of the minar is prohibited. The top part of the minar can be seen outside of the fort also.
