- chloe h22 contributionsIsland under construction.
First impressions wernt great, as a lot of construction on island, so rubbish, dust and materials everywhere. So snorkeling, swimming and beach are just a no. Also it was out of season, so a lot of places were closed which is fair.
But we did really enjoy our time here, I'd recommend hiring bikes to get out of cat ba town. Kayaking and caves/national park are also great. Spent a lot of money here with all the activities we did, but overall worth it for 3ish days.Written 20 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It gets busier as the day goes on so I suggest getting here in the morning. Your park pass gives you entry to the hiking trails and caves within the park. The smog is quite bad in the winter months it seems so the views are quite obstructed.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MICHELE M4 contributionsVery nice and confortable place. A special guide very kind Mr. Hai, we did with him a wonderful trekking to the Navvy PeakWritten 8 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ShakeyjackNewcastle, UK128 contributionsThis was part of the half day hiking tour with Cat Ba Ventures. I didn’t know what to expect on this part, our guide was able to give an overview and explanation of all of the rooms. The models and furniture are a bit basic but do help with understanding. The guide was able to offer some personal family experiences of the war which gave a much better insight, without which the museum alone lacks some interpretation of what you are seeing. This is a great attraction and could be better.Written 5 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ctm7944Phoenix, AZ19,646 contributionsRented motorbike from accommodations. Rode to Trung Tram Cave. The Cave was interesting and scenic in many spots. 40KVND entry + FREE parking. You can pay another 40KVND (80K total) for a combination ticket, which also includes Ngu Lam Viewpoint. They are only about 2km apart.
The hike to the cave was very photogenic; with a good number of stairs.Written 2 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A lot of Vietnam has had attractions that have shut down, or at least they have been run down, and monkey island is no exception. From the beach chairs to the pathways that are getting overgrown, years of missing tourists have taken a toll on this island. We were glad we went, and can only imagine what it once was like. Be very careful around the monkeys. They become aggressive and will try and steal whatever you have. - arpitamGurugram (Gurgaon), India1,074 contributionsThis is one of the most popular beaches in Cat Ba Island. Since this is almost like a private beach to the Flamingo hotel looking right on to the sea. A nice little cove with a beautiful view from the stairs that climb up to the adjacent cliff. Also this is a bathing beach and there are facilities for changing and shower.Written 12 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
