Bali Agritours is an experience like no other. I visited with my wife and three young kids (3, 9 and 10). It was an amazing day that had something for everyone. The kids loved walking through the rice paddies, fishing and making and eating sate chicken for lunch. Drinking fresh coconut water right off the tree was a nice treat as well. More importantly, they learned about how food ends up on the table - the fish they caught was eaten for lunch. My wife and I loved the cooking (e.g. banana root soup) in addition to actually planting rice seedlings and spending time with some of the locals. In particular, Gede runs the place and was an amazing host. He and his staff were so welcoming and made us feel like family.

If you are looking in addition to the monkeys, beaches and temples, Bali Agritours is authentic farm to table experience and so much more. Highly recommend!

It's a good rest-stop on the way to the temples in Bersakih and towards the volcano crater in Gunung Agung area. There's a lot of mosquitoes here so be prepared with bug repellents, etc.

This place has swarms of monkeys that make the place their home. The monkeys are well behaved and know the catapault/sling shot will inflict pain on them so they run away when it's pointed at them. Alpha male monkeys are often the culprit leaders and will not touch food that's on the ground. They only take from human hands. Do not smile and show teeth... to the monkeys, it's interpreted as agression.

Monkey business aside, the temple is still functional... but it's not a main attraction. Most of the statues are moss covered and there are plenty of tall and old trees that shade the area for a cool respite from the hot equitorial sun. The temple area can be entered only if you are going to offer prayers and flowers.

What a great opportunity to be lead by Maria, one of the founders of the Kul Kul Farm on an extensive 2 hour tour, rounded out by a beautiful vegetarian lunch prepared straight out of the garden! Definitely an opportunity to learn about permaculture and Kul Kul Farm's innovations and teachings from learning and living off the land. Thank you!
