As compared to Nainital and Bhimtal, Naukuchiyatal is less crowded. It’s vast and surrounded by trees.

A popular temple with the visitors, people pay their obeisance to the goddess deity by tying small bells wish making their wishes. The name of the temple comes from the hula on which the goddess rests. As for the innumerable bells that dot the premises and the wonderful feel it gives, you get it only when you visit in person. Enjoy the photos.

It's a beautiful dam built i british era but not worth the visit . It takes an hour from ranikhet to reach here and it's very peaceful and transquillient . it's a hidden beauty in the wilderness but not that appealing to specially make a trip for this place .

This nice Ram temple is just ahead of Jhula devi mandir on top of a hill. Temple has idols of Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Hanumanji. It provides a very good view of the hills around. The place is very peaceful.

The entrance will give you a shady feel. The water body is a small one with walk ways around it. There is also a rope slide across the water body and is the only thrilling part of the place. The place is more for the locals. Access to the place was also not a direct one from where I was staying.

I can't say enough good stuff about these folks. They took us on a nine-day trek in the mountains of Uttarakhand. It rained a lot, but they took really, really good care of us - bringing us coffee and meals in our tent when it was raining, working hard to light a fire from sodden wood and cooking amazing, amazing food every single day.

We climbed up some pretty steep paths, which made me a little nervous (and I"m someone who has been to Annapurna Base Camp and climbed the Sugarloaf at Macchu Picchu. The lead guides spoke really great English and knew a lot about the area and wildlife.

Highly, highly recommend! I'll work with them again. They have all kinds of cool stuff to do - rafting, ziplines, and more.

Run almost entirely by enterprising village women, Umang is worth a visit. Quality food items and other handmade products are a must-buy.
