However, our friends decided to explore and book only one-afternoon safari in May '23. The temperature was 44 degrees, it was very tough since the jungle does not have biog trees like Corbett. Our guide Ajay ( 9784173355) was very good. He is well versed about the jungle as well as the Tiger movement. He asked the driver to wait patiently at a few places. In addition, you’ll probably be with educated English speaking Indians who can help translate in some instances. TF Holidays was easy to book. We stayed at Trees N Tigers resort near Alwar but they still picked us up and drove to the Sariska gate (about 20 minutes) where the guide was waiting. We saw two tigers which is rare and many different animals. Alwar City Palace, from 1793, blends architectural styles and has marble pavilions on lotus-shaped bases in its courtyard, plus a museum with rare manuscripts. It’s next to the marble and sandstone Moosi Maharani Chhatri shrine. A steep path leads to the Bala Qila fort, with marble pillars and latticed balconies. Alot of monkeys and it gives you a jungle book feeling.
