The temple is located around 11 KM from Kottayam.
This is one of the three ancient Siva temples in Kottayam district.
This temple is the house of beautiful architecture all-round.
The main deity here is Lord Shiva.
This temple is famous for the ever-glowing lamp (keda-vilakku) which is located at the entrance to the main temple.
The temple premises are maintained neat & clean.
This is a house of old traditions.
One can definitely feel the strong positive vibes once he is in front of the sanctum sanctorum. The lingam here is very powerful.
Once we are in front of Lord Siva here our eyes refuse to leave the sight.
The temple premises is quite large with separate sanctums for Lord Krishna, Lord Ayyappa etc.,
As per a strong belief, if one can complete the darshans of the three Mahadevas, in sequence, starting with Vaikom (at nirmalyam), Kadathuruthy and ending with Ettumanoor before Ucha Pooja he will be a blessed person. .
Overall, it was a great & pleasant experience with unforgettable inner satisfaction.

We had a wonderful rejuevenation massages which we thoroughly enjoyed. They provide soap shampoo,bath towel etc and they have hot water shower facilities also available.I really loved their bath powder and herbal tea. - Michele H1 contributionIf you are in Kumarakom or the surrounding area, this is a wonderful local company that will assist you to explore the stunning Keralan backwaters. Everything about the experience was fantastic, from the ease of booking, to ready communication, to organizing transportation from my local accommodation.
My guide Sanu was so friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out all sorts of wildlife and taking the time to explain what makes the area so special. As an avid bird nerd, he knew all of the local birds and pointed them out so that I could enjoy the impressive variety of beautiful local birds. Sanu was attentive, responsive, friendly, and very kind.
When we got back to shore, I was treated to an absolutely delicious breakfast freshly prepared and served riverside. They did contact me beforehand to check in about dietary considerations, which I really appreciated.
This was easily the best experience that I had in Kerala and I would highly recommend booking with Canoe Kerala.
