What travellers are saying
- Nelly041Manchester66 contributionsBeautiful sandy beach with easy access to the sea. We visited every morning when it was less busy as the beach gets filled up in the middle of the day. The sea was calm, clear, and lovely to swim in. The beach was well cared for, very clean, life guard staff, free parking, with a great restaurant / beach bar.Written 21 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanna RhodesLondon, UK106 contributionsThis beautiful cove is only accessible by foot and you have to walk down well maintained but steep stairs to get there. It has amazing views of Penon D'Ifach towards Calpe and is part of the coastal walk from Moraira to Calpe. The sea is accessible but you are advised to wear neoprene shoes with a good grip if you are going for a swim - the rocks are super slippery and I've heard about many accidents because of this here. Also take your snorkel as it's a great place to explore.Written 5 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The two hall
The cathedral
Narrows streets
A pretty part of town and typically Spanish. There is not much to do here but if you are passing it is worth stopping off at and taking in the scenery.Written 7 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tony M1 contributionTaken here during a visit to family, didn't know exactly what to expect.
Booked on for the beer tasting on a public holiday. Had a small group tour of the distillery/brewery from Lydia which was very informative. Then we sat with the others who where all there for the gin tasting. We heard about their gins and it was fun listening to them try and identify the ingredients and which they favoured, and they listened to our beer-talk. Each round of drinks was supported by food, from crisps and nuts to delicious tagliatelle which was above and beyond expectations.
The difficulties of artisan brewing real beers and distilling spirits in Spain during and after Covid are brought home, literally, with this family run business, and they thoroughly deserve as many visitors and sales as they can get.
My next visit to see family will include the gin-tasting experience.
I'll see you there... Cheers!Written 4 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - BigFatBudgiePort Talbot1,016 contributionsWe stopped off here as part of a “Coast & Caves” coach tour.
The Basilica itself oozes grandeur, with two bell towers and a central rose window.
There are many stunning paintings and figures that adorn this very peaceful and spiritual place.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.Written 24 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He stopped what he was working on (a large dragon) to come introduce himself and give us a tour. He was so friendly and thoughtful. It's hard to believe he only taught himself to weld four years ago. He has a true talent and I expect him to end up as one of the greats.Written 23 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - northants90Northampton, UK3,180 contributionsOk this is located right next to the town hall of Benissa but is very easily missed. It is a small square and quite insignificant but has a sore of peace and tranquility to it. Easily found but you can easily walk by without noticing it.
May not be worth a special trip for but if you stop off for the cathedral Why not call into the Plaza?Written 7 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We arrived early and played ping pong while waiting for our Padel court time. Our family of 4 had a great time playing Padel in the shade. We rented Padels and balls at the club. Friendly staff and great courts. Highly recommend.Written 25 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Malcolm B4 contributionsTucked away in a backwater of Benissa, this is an interesting museum based on a house of a local merchant - rooms are decorated and fitted with period items.Written 2 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
