We had a wonderful tour. We enjoyed the itinerary, thought it was well planned. The scenery along the way was beautiful. We enjoyed having a small group, which on our tour turned out to be just us and one other person, but that was great. Our driver Michael was very informative and answered questions that weren't part of his "normal" narrative, plus he played traditional Irish music when he wasn't speaking, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We were a group of five friends on a girls trip and chose to splurge on a private tour. Spoiler: so worth the money! Tom was a GREAT guide and Mother Nature was also on our side ☀️, though Tom mentioned he always has a back up plan for challenging weather days. We had terrific views of the countryside and we leisurely pulled over at all the key sites (he even entertained our one friend who insisted on getting out to interact with a roadside donkey :). Topped it off with the Cliffs of Moher - was a wonderful day.

I have been to Cong several times as The Quiet Man is my favourite film. However, this was the first time I’d done the walking tour and it was BRILLIANT! The guide was Gerry Collins and he was a mine of information and very, very funny! His grandfather had been an extra in the film and he had met Maureen O’Hara and several members of John Wayne’s family. He could tell us things that couldn’t be discovered without his personal experience. I bought a little book that he had written : “Tales of the Quiet Man Tour Guide” - what a great entertaining and informative read with a wealth of photos too. Gerry also owns Michaeleen’s Manor B&B in Cong and it is full of pictures of the making of the film, of the film itself and the actors. There are also wooden plaques all over the house with quotes from the film and even a reconstructed bridge that featured in the film. I was fortunate enough to be staying at this delightful B&B where I was made very welcome. It was great value for money too!
The walking tour ended up back at the museum which is a replica of the house that John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara lived in with furniture from the film, the famous tandem and the bed. He got two members of the group to dress up as Sean and Mary Kate and enact a couple of scenes from the film which involved them getting into the bed! It was a scream! On our return to the museum we bumped into a local character called Vincent who gave a rendition of “The Isle of Innisfree” and “The Wild Colonial Boy”. That was a real treat!

When we first arrived at Ashford Castle we were greeted by the boat and transported to the Castle. Later we enjoyed a more extensive cruise of the lake and were provided with varied information and history of the castle, the lake and its surroundings. Patrick followed in the family footsteps having started as a lad and then taking over the business from his father. Well worth the journey.

This was our first tour with Rabbies and we had an excellent experience with the tour. Our tour guide, Dan was exceptional. Dan was not only kind, good humored and accommodating, but has an incredible wealth of knowledge. His thoroughness of the Irish Gaelic language and history helped bring Ireland’s beauty, people and history to life. He is a great professional but very, very pleasant as well. He ensured that his customers were well taken care and comfortable. He explained every site with great depth of knowledge and patience. My husband and I consider ourselves lucky to have Dan as our tour guide. It was not only our experience but the other members of the tour conveyed the same sentiments as well. I would definitely consider Rabbies for our future tours and would surely refer friends and family to Rabbies for their travel needs especially Dan as their tour guide in Ireland. We have booked two additional tours with Rabbies on our travel to Scotland. Thank you very much, Dan and Rabbies for making our trip to Ireland an enjoyable one.

Steve was a fantastic guide! He’s super friendly and loves what he does. The route itself was beautiful, from Great Lake views to dense forests. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in Cong . On the day we visited we actually didn't need our skip the line tickets, it was a slow day. However, we also purchased the tour. The tour was worth every penny. Our tour guide was so well informed and had a wonderful sense of humor. Overall it was a wonderful travel experience.

We just finished an amazing 3 day tour with James Lonergan of Liberty Irish Tours and all we can say is AMAZING! James is not only a truly lovely guy, being with him was like hanging with the best most fun teacher you’ve ever had who seemed to know someone at every stop, knew all of the roads less traveled, and taught us so much about this beautiful country and its history. To say we will miss him is an understatement. We love James, and he will forever remain in our memories and heart. If you are on the fence about booking a driver and tour, jump at this opportunity. You will not be sorry.

If I could give this trip a million stars I would!

Everything from our first adventure to Ashford Castle to the Dingle Peninsula and to Dublin was AMAZING!!! We made countless stops along our journey, learning about Ireland’s culture, history, traditions, and language. If I were to mention every spectacular place, my review would never end.

Ireland is a beautiful country, filled with life, hospitality, and mouth watering food and drink. The landmarks and historic sights are far better in person, better than any movie or picture could ever exemplify. The food and drinks were absolutely splendid as well. I loved every meal and wished for more!!

Stephen and Chris were wonderful guides. Their knowledge of Ireland is remarkable. They were able to answer all of our questions and share all their stories. Stephen filled our time with laughs, great stories, and music. He certainly knew how to entertain us and keep our tour lively.

The great thing about this tour is that we are in a small group. We grew close to other tour members, eager to spend the day with them. With that said, there was free time to adventure off! Although we had a packed itinerary (which is detailed before booking), Stephen took the time to remind us of start times and our daily “to-dos”. He gave us plenty of time at all of our destinations. With a small group we were able to be adaptable, extending or shortening stays, based on the groups needs. Stephen made sure we were all happy and satisfied before moving off. Furthermore, if an event needed to be adjusted or moved, Stephen was very vocal about it, letting us know in advance. He helped us with personal reservations and suggested places to eat along the way.

I am beyond grateful for this trip. I loved every second of it and will be booking my Northern Ireland tour in no time. I couldn’t ask for a better guide, tour group, and places to see.

I recommend this trip to ANYONE!!! If you love to travel, to laugh, and of course drink Guinness this trip is for you!!!

Ps. If you love dogs, you’d love this trip too!!!
