What travellers are saying
- tan jing jieBangi, Malaysia1 contributioni went to escape with my friend yesterday. we spent our time to enjoy all those activities. we enjoy monkey business level 3, it was extremely scary cause im afraid of heights but its okay at least i challenged myself, i also join the competion after playing dry park activities. i got medal for fun diving ! that emcee really hype us eventhough there aren’t many people join the game. that emcee name hafiz, he was super duper cheerful while entertaining us. he was really friendly with us although there were not many customers. Therefore, i also got an opportunity to talk to hafiz that emcee boy, he tell us about the schedule to spend our time meaningfully in escape ! it’s very helpful tho hahaha. other than that, he also lead us to enjoy the competition with energetic movements.
new place new experience, will repeat escape penang again. new memories, new lessons, every journey brings growth and a chance to see the world from a different perspective.Written 21 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a nice funicular (60MYR for 2) going straight up passing the tropical vegetation and some monkeys.
At the top are shops, restos, and lookouts. It wasn't crowded at this early morning time. The views are spectacular. I was surprised that there was that much to do at the top. Mr. Law, our guide, has an encyclopedic memory and clued us in on Penang's history, cultural identity, and landmarks.Written 16 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great location for a portrait photo shoot with heaps of them happening everyday. Best enjoyed with a free guided tour.
25 ringgit for entry. Expect many people & avoid on days that cruise ships are in port.Written 10 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - abahtitahTaiping, Malaysia39 contributionsFor RM65/person, you're going to watch a lot of members of the kingdom of tiny animals - not just butterflies. Those animals are the ones that we can only see now in such channels like National Geographic, Discovery, Love Nature or Animal Planets. That's a small price for a well-maintained place of attraction.Written 4 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roam517502371471 contributionLala is friendly, knowledgeable and I learned a lot from her. She was ready with vital history and some survival tips in the forest which I really appreciated. - tcakohSingapore, Singapore140 contributionsIts a nice jetty to stare out to the sea. There are people living on the jetty and you get to see how they live their lives. - andrewLondon, UK13 contributionsCharming old style area. Really enjoyed leisurely walking around. Let down though by sheer volume of polluting vehicles just blowing exhaust fumes around on the narrow roads, which is awful when there aren’t my pathways. Need it to be pedestrianised only or some congestion charge for vehicles to enter that aren’t electric.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen FLincoln, UK655 contributionsWe did walk along the road from Batu Ferringhi beach. It's narrow in places but we saw some lovely coves on the way. Wouldn't attempt it with young children though!
Lovely gardens. The information is brief for each stopping point - gives all the main facts, which is interesting but not so much that it gets boring. There was even a little station at the top where you could help yourself to a small cup of the chilled tea of the day.
There is a small café that sells some unusual herbal drinks and a small gift shop. The gift shop was a bit disappointing as I expected them to sell lots of herbs and spices they had grown.Written 11 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And the best part was the monkeys, they were everywhere and very cute (and not aggressive.)Written 22 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
