I came on a Friday and the place was humming with people walking around and chatting to each other, just like anywhere else. Such a pleasure to see people relaxing and enjoying the weekend amidst the gardens when just outside the doors to the garden, Kabul continues its dusty, crowded life.

I wish it was but more maintained but very good. They have a lot of antiques there. Worth visiting if you are in Kabul. There is entry fees. You will have to pay for your mobile phone to take it in.

After a Day's Hard Work in Kabul City, a visit to the adjoining Qargha Lake is always amongst the most relaxing and pleasant time of the day.

Very near to Kabul City, Qargha Lake view of the Placid Waters and Adjoining Mountains, alongwith nearby greenry and good food with friends if always the highlisght of the day.

    Good Restaurant & Cafeteria present.
    Ample Parking Facility.
    Safe.

    Very sobering experience.

It’s actually called the British Cemetery rather than the Christian Cemetery since they were the first to have war dead in the late 1800s snd the British Embassy still pays for the upkeep of the cemetery.

Today there are Russians, Germans, South Africans, French, Spanish, Canadians, AnZACs and more at rest here. Was it worth it?

I came here with a local guide earlier this month. I was very happy with the visit.

The museum is not very big but it contains many, many old artefacts, statues, coins, and, written explanations of many of the exhibits.

Much of the museum is devoted to the evolution and development of Afghanistan from a historic and religious perspective.

It’s an absolute must-do when in Kabul.

Currently being rebuilt, but interesting nonetheless. The Queen's Palace is a short distance away and appears top be in much better condition.

Blue roof mosque with beautiful architectur. The place is really nice with fusion character. It is a pity that it is located next to street market and make the most important historical place in town quite dirty and unpleasant

If in Kabul you should go visit this mosque. It is right in the middle of Kabul. Very well maintained. Very impressive tiling. Worth the trip. It is in a busy area on Fridays. The street has a lot of cars on a Fridays. Many people come out and relax in the areas around the mosque. Visit the small children's playground just up the street.

The Kabul national stadium has a history to tell. During the Taliban time how much executions and other cruel things happened here. Now its very well maintained and only a few events are taking place here every year. If your security allows go there. To see it once.

so went there coz everyone said its a landmark , getting there with the traffic was just a complete nightmare for sure, getting in was for sure not recommended by our security as the place was so crowded and had no security , so we just circled around it and enjoyed seeing it from the outside...dont think we are missing much.

The most visited shopping area in Kabul is found on "Chicken St." It is lined with small shops and vendors hawking all sorts of things for sale. Be careful of some of the small statues and decorative pieces as many are not authentic and just cheap items made in China. If you are in Kabul, you are obviously aware of the danger of the area, so move fast and do not linger in any one area.
