The immensity of the Paradise cave complex has to be seen to be believed; seeing the Phong Nha caves by boat was also incredible. Do nor bother paying for a guided tour just turn up and pay 450 dong that includes a tour guide through the cave, mud bath, swimming, zip-lining & Kayaking. The guide and experience was well worth the money and really good fun. It’s 30 minute on a motorbike from Phong Nha. - ＬＡＭ ＨＡＩ4 contributionsVery beautiful place, traveling on the river is very romantic, going deep inside Phong Nha cave is super beautiful and magical, the water in the cave is cool, the stalactites emit a very beautiful glitter, I really like it, it's very beautiful. Suitable for groups and families who want to explore nature, however inside there are many photographers coaxing customers to take photos even though they know they only do it to make a living, but it is quite unsightly and not beautiful. - Jhweidman1 contributionWe did the Paradise Cave tour and the experience was outstanding. The included lunch, boat ride up the river to a second cave were all well planned out and very enjoyable. - Đạt N37 contributionsFabulous trip made even better by our wonderful guides. A couple of things to mention.
1. Paradise cave ( we did in the morning). Mainly steps and boardwalk so trainers or we’ll fitting sandals are best.
2. Dark cave (we did in afternoon) - footwear is strictly barefoot - no exceptions.
3. Swimsuit is permitted as long as it doesn’t have sleeves/legs/skirt.
4. Take your oldest swimsuit- not sure if mine has permanently changed colour!
5. They sell plastic camera covers near to where you get changed - they are in a glass case in front of the desk - wish we had seen these.
That’s it.

Dark cave was great also with an entertaining guide that got everyone involved and into it. Really enjoyed swimming into the cave and having two great contrasting experiences. Everyone was punctual and efficient. And as a vegan, really appreciated being catered for so easily and having a good lunch. Awesome! - Gani CUbud, Indonesia12 contributionsA day for me with many wonderful emotions at Phong Nha and Dark Cave. The cave is very beautiful and majestic with a natural formation. We saw such beautiful and sparking stalactites for the first time. The tour guide and all the services are great and impressive. We also had a traditional lunch that was hearty and delicious. Local food was ok, not too spicy as we thought. Easy to book directly with staff and well arranged schedule.

Our tour guide Nick was excellent, very knowledgable about both caves and fluent in english. He also answered many of our questions about history and traditions in Vietnam. - Nicole P7 contributions10/10! We wanted to explore Dong Hoi but didn’t know where to start. Mo’s tour was the perfect way to see the city and try all the foods we NEVER would have found on our own! From a true street cart to making our own dumplings, to the local fish market and then to her friend’s fishing cabin where they made us dinner from their catch that day, we couldn’t have had a better time! While the market isn’t for the sensitive traveler, if you’re looking at this excursion then chances are you’re adventurous and ready to take on a truly local experience.
Mo herself grew up here and is so knowledgeable about the history and culture of not only Vietnam but of Dong Hoi specifically. She was a great guide and showed us the best time. It seems that the taste of the dishes is not suitable for me.
