I was recommended to catch a rickshaw here but walked about mile to get here, glad I did, saw real side of pondicherry outside white town. The church is a beacon in the city, red and white architecture makes it stand out, I went in and worshipped and snapped photos and left, nothing like being in God's house.

Our Lady of the Angels - The church built in Greco-Roman style, casts an ethereal aura with pleasing light in soft hues, and uplifting towers pointing the unseen angels singing 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo'. Our Lady was addressed as Hail Mary, Ave Maria, by the angel Gabriel. The angels again announced the birth of her son to the shepherds. The church is nursed well by its keepers, tenderness, gentleness and grace fill the holy place. The mind can submerge itself in the surrounding peace away from the bedlam of the streets. This church is beautiful and the French Catholic influence is remarkable and enduring.

Gorgeous exterior which are intricately designed. The interior itself is nothing to write home about, but it provides a quaint, peaceful backdrop if you would like to have a quiet moment.

Sort of strange museum with quite little information about the things on display. It’s basically a lot of stuff from different time periods. Everything from bronze statues to old furniture and a room full of rocks. If you have some time to spare it’s worth a visit but don’t go out of your way to fit this place in

This is the place which lists down what all restorations have been done in and around Pondicherry. In a way it takes us back to olden times and shows what Pondicherry really was - a quiet sea side holiday town, long before the excellent connectivity with neighbouring cities transformed it into a weekend holiday destination. The place helps us connect the past of Pondicherry with the present.

It’s really a beautiful building with French architecture and colors. I had seen this building from outside only and it will definitely catch your attention for sure.

There are superb hand made arts, paintings and handi crafts made and available here for sale. They are also available for subsidised prices. Each piece is a master piece. If you are an art lover you must visit the gallery at least once in your life.

This is a good resource for local students and has a fairly comprehensive collection. Its reading room is packed with regular readers. The decor is very old fashioned government style, but the staff is helpful.

We found Anokhi by chance while going to the beach road in Pondy... n couldn't stop shopping here. It's got very good collection and an equally helpful staff.

Though personally I feel the stuff was a bit over priced compared to the quality of cloth - but there is no denying the designs are amazing. And holidays are meant to do shopping. So I would suggest it's a must visit shop in Pondy.

This is our fourth visit to India. We have spent time in Mumbai, Goa, Kerala and now Pondy. We always look at reviews very carefully before choosing where we get our loved Ayurvedic massages. We saw that Sumesh’s reviews and booked immediately. Firstly, a clean comfortable and professional place. Instantly it felt right. Then the massage! We both agreed that his is by far the best massage we have had yet in India! Wow! A real find and a must for anyone wanting something special. All I can say is we will be going back and back and back! Thank you so much Sumesh!

So we came for a spa massage after a week of hectic wedding preps and a good fall after soap football(you know how that hurts 😁). We booked a couple aromatherapy spa which was done by Maya and Suzy. We've love getting a massage and have done it at all destinations India/ Abroad and five star hotels like The Oberoi. I am so happy and relaxed and stress free after the massage. It was so soothing and did the perfect for a parent of two (one a young budding toddler boy). My experience was WOW. Maya had the perfect heat in her palms to add to the comfort of the massage. Now you made our Day 1 at Pondicherry great. Thank you 💖😊
