This temple is so beautifully decorated, that it’s just a pleasure to walk in, sit on the floor and look around. The little stories of Ganesha are sculptured on the walls around you and are amazingly done with so much details and color. The ceiling outside is stunning. And it’s a very clean temple, unlike many where the rails rake over much of the space.

To walk on the promenade at the evening or for the sunrise is a great activity in Pondicherry. There’s a lot going on, with locals and tourists are enjoying the breeze. The statue of Gahndi is a must.

The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is one of the most famous and wealthy ashrams in India. The Ashram is within walking distance of Manakula Vinayagar Temple and Rock Beach. Through permanent exhibits of photographs, captions, tests, videos, and books, the center also provides an introduction to Sri Aurobindo's vision and The Mother's spiritual practice. Only a small portion of the premises is accessible to visitors. The environment is extremely calm and serene. Inside the building, you are not allowed to use your phone or speak. Outside the ashram, your shoes and chappals must be removed and placed on racks opposite the ashram. Cleanliness and order are maintained in the ashram by volunteers and associates. It is worth going, but there is not a lot to do or see.

Because of over crowd in the May month, it is not clean but the relaxation you get in this beach is awesome, the Govt. had also made certain guidelines that vehicles are not allowed in the near roads, so beware of you parking your four wheeler when you try to visit this place.

Our Lady of the Angels - The church built in Greco-Roman style, casts an ethereal aura with pleasing light in soft hues, and uplifting towers pointing the unseen angels singing 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo'. Our Lady was addressed as Hail Mary, Ave Maria, by the angel Gabriel. The angels again announced the birth of her son to the shepherds. The church is nursed well by its keepers, tenderness, gentleness and grace fill the holy place. The mind can submerge itself in the surrounding peace away from the bedlam of the streets. This church is beautiful and the French Catholic influence is remarkable and enduring.

Serenity Beach is located near Kottakuppam, which is more of a fishing village than a typical tourist attraction on the outskirts of Puducherry. A narrow road connects the beach to the ECR. The development of this as a tourist attraction has considerable potential for improvement. Although the beach has beautiful views, it needs to be cleaned because we can see rum, wine, and whiskey bottles, as well as papers with food waste on them. Walking on the beach is challenging.

Gorgeous exterior which are intricately designed. The interior itself is nothing to write home about, but it provides a quaint, peaceful backdrop if you would like to have a quiet moment.

Its about showing your patriotism in there and nothing much, but the place is well maintained and you can go through the history behind this Memorial.

It is the only park which is near the Beach and due to the parking issues it looks crampy, but inside kids can enjoy and have a nice time and we as parents can rest too :-) .!

The place is the residence of the LG of Pondicherry and hence entry is not permitted. One can however have a look at the expansive garden and the intricate carvings on the various statues.

This is the place which lists down what all restorations have been done in and around Pondicherry. In a way it takes us back to olden times and shows what Pondicherry really was - a quiet sea side holiday town, long before the excellent connectivity with neighbouring cities transformed it into a weekend holiday destination. The place helps us connect the past of Pondicherry with the present.
