- Traian P34 contributionsParadise beach is one of the best in Tassos. I went with my family there, sandy beach, smooth entrance, wonderful scenery, perfect combination of mountain and sea. They also have some good food made locally, shaded terraces with cold beer.
I recommend this beach over others in Tassos!Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unlike many other Indian beaches, this one is surprisingly clean—probably because it’s more of a rocky coastline than a sandy stretch. Strolling along the promenade is a highlight, especially in the evening when the whole place comes alive with street performers, vendors, and families out for a walk.Written 5 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Saravanan3 contributionsGood spot for sunrise view at Pondy. Just hope that it is cloud free sky at the time of sunrise. Also the road which takes you to the shore/Beach is quite narrow and be prepared for parking challenges. It will ve hassle free if you take a driver for your vehicleWritten 2 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HOMPRSNew Delhi, India513 contributionsAuro beach is near the pondicherry University and one can explore it as well if they want to see sunrise.
NOTE- On the way back from auro beach to Auroville, the local villagers sell a local RAGI dish (keeps you cool) MUST TRY. Also locally grown CASHEW available which one must buy, it's really tasty here and cheapWritten 10 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This village holds an integral place in Pondicherry’s history and hosts some of the most exuberant festivals. It is known as one of the most gorgeous beaches in south India and attracts a lot of tourists. Visitors at Veerampattinam beach can also watch the fishermen who work with their traditional nets to catch their daily fish.

Entry fee is 70 rupees.
They have ample parking, many sports like speed boat, jet ski, kayaking, ATV etc.
Nice restaurant, dress changing rooms, lockers are available.
They have life guards available in case of emergency.Written 16 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - MelitaPondicherry, India17 contributionsVisited after lunch at a nearby hotel.
It is by far the cleanest for the beaches in Pondi.
The strip prior to reaching the beach remains relatively busy with the different stalls and if you look closely you will see waste lying around as a result.
It is a pity that this is not dealt with more as Pondicherry could benefit from it given its stunning geographical position.
Second point to note is the distinct lack of shade.
It remains by far our top choice but that's not hard given the other beaches around.Written 25 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
