What travellers are saying
- Deborah MMalaga, Spain330 contributionsBeautiful cathedral on the beach. Finally got to go in without their being a mass on. A very pleasant church. It dates back I believe to the 17centry. Outside there's a saint( I believe ) buried. Could not find any information in English. Worth going to see when in the area. Not always open though.Written 12 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- carlosjoinerBurton upon Trent, UK230 contributionsAbsolutely loved my time on this beach in may where we rented sunbeds with an umbrella ,sand is clean and the water was warm and clean as i swam every day, just a word of warning the waves get up high in the afternoon with the tide and its only for swimmers as unlike every other spanish beach there are no lifeguards, plenty of bars and shops a very short walk away for drinks etcWritten 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Deborah MMalaga, Spain330 contributionsAn absolute favourite of mine walking along the beach when the faro comes into site. You can walk to the very top and look at the amazing views over the Atlantic sea. Very well maintained and in close proximity to the lovely bodegas.Written 12 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lukdcBlankenberge, Belgium88 contributionsand spoiled we are, in belgium (with beaches, that is - not with the sun). a beautiful sandy beach, easily accessible water.Written 2 November 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Karen KMillsboro, DE119 contributionsThis area of Spain doesn’t bury the dead in the ground, but in crypts above ground, one family per. Clean and quiet, always busy with visitors. Interesting for those of us with much different burial customs.Written 16 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gill CAlora, Spain36 contributionsWe came across this by accident walking along the promenade. Very interesting to read the information board and then also see it currently being worked by local fishermen. Worth a lookWritten 17 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Karen KMillsboro, DE119 contributionsThis is one of the monuments seen as you amble along the Spanish town’s “boardwalk”, a walkway going for miles along the Spanish coast town of Chipiona. Adjacent to “el Centre” which is a popular walking and shopping area. Lined with tapas bars for dining or drinking pleasure.Written 16 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lukdcBlankenberge, Belgium88 contributionssorry, people from chipiona. we appreciate she was a great singer and we know you're all proud of her.
but if you don't know the person, this monument is not really what you come to this part of town for. the marina is, the beach is, ricardo's place is. and if you pass by, you enjoy the flowers more than the statue.Written 2 November 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ERIC WKnoxville, TN4,208 contributionsWould’ve loved to see the inside but unfortunately it was closed. Still pretty amazing architecture even from the outsideWritten 6 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jonathan L156 contributionsSimple Bodega type base on site with typical compacted dirt patio to meet with friends, sample the types of Moscatel and enjoy the time. Some of the best ecamples of Moscatel of the local area. Good cheese also available to accompany the wine. Moscatel de Pasas here is very good and they have two sizes of glass, large and normal. Price is excellent for top quality sweet wine. Highly recommend as place to meet for night of tapa hopping!Written 26 April 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Whisky_ileachGlasgow, UK304 contributionsThis building has some fantastic architecture but unfortunately you dont get to see very much. If you are in the area its worth a wee walk to.Written 27 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tezpilPortsmouth, UK4,340 contributionsIt's in the corner by the church. Easy to miss but not all that impressive really. It may have more significance that architectural interest alone.Written 23 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
