We boy spent a half day there but had a very good time. The beach is nice ( no shade so rent a shade) and clean, the access fee is cheap and there is a pleasant bar restaurant. The whole infrastructure looks very dated and I’m not sure I would like to spend many days there but at least for day use this is a very pleasant place.

Some people seem to dislike the old town, But things have changed, So no surprise that there are easting places etc.
These buildings cost a fortune to restore, And most are in excellent condition.
Do not go if unfit, and on a baking hot day, its a slog. Plenty to see if you have the stamina and time.
If eating some places hve really great views,,, possibly the best reason to go there
Thing is there's no local parking, so might be worn out before getting there !

Beautiful trees in a peaceful and quiet place. We first went to the address what is indicated to Tripadvisor but after a phone call, we were redirected to the olive farm where a helpful guy showed us the trees. Stunning view from up here to the sea!

It seams like wild beach which in the past was great place for vacation. But it's still nice...there are two restorants- cafe, one of them has deckchairs and umbrellas on the beach, you can buy some fast food, coffee, ice cream, but most people bring folding chairs, mattresses, towels, refrigerator, food, water, playing cards, they lie in the shade of pine trees. .it reminded me of my childhood, when we used to spend summers..the beach is mostly gravel, with some concrete parts that have practically collapsed... there are showers on the beach...we were not lucky because the previous day there were big waves that washed away half beach in the water, the water was terribly cloudy, you can't see where you are stepping, and on the shore there is a lot of discarded grass, a few shells, a few urchins... it seemed quite abandoned... all in all, you should go, probably when the water is calm and clear, it is also a pleasure bigger... of course the advantage is naturalness, peace, width, pine...

If you had enough of the warm and calm sea than take a swim in the refreshing water of the Bojana River. Be prepared for the relatively strong current. The river was clean and only a little bit colder than the sea when I was there. It is funny to see the lots of bungalows along the riverside.

Ulcinj subregion and all its ecosystem is a a unique region blessed by God for it's nature and magnific landscapes. The castle is more than 2500 years old and has many stories to tell.
The staff was really friendly and helpful but I beg to them to raise funds to maintain the museum if the state does not help. The walls needed some paint and maintenance and also more details on the archeological items found in the castle, because I felt pitty for the current conditiin.I know all the Albanian community all around the help would help maintaining a Castle where Illyrian Queen Teuta has lived, Skenderbeg has fought against Venetians, Miguel del Servantes was captured as a slave, and many many notorius historical figures have conections with that.
I belive that Montenegro authorities also should invest more in this city, which is their city afterall and payes taxes for the state.

The olive grove is a shady haven and the gift shop full of things made by at the monastery. There is an active set of services and I enjoyed the chat/mass that I happened upon. I did not explore the cemetery, but imagine it holds quite a bit of history. Close to the town beach, Museum and old fort. Well worth a visit!

Nice sunbeads, friendly people, not too crowdy. In the bar you can find alko and non-alko drinks and some food like pizza or burgers :)
