This is a nice place to watch live animals, drink some Kloster wine, and visit the museum. The herb garden is great and you can get some soap and hand cream made by the Abbey. You can easily spend a few hours here and around the beautiful town.

A rather traditional museum with neat and clear displays of a very wide range of things about the region and the town. Could have done with some translations - perhaps a simple sheet covering just the basic facts - but the objects were mainly self explanatory. Well worth a visit

Built probably around 1700 or 1705, it is a well-preserved good-looking little moated castle, quiet and a bit romantic, situated in the middle of a small lake just outside of Seligenstadt. Topographically, moated castles belong to the type of lowland castles. Made as a garden house, the palace luxuriated as a summer residence and a hunting lodge for the abbots of the Seligenstadt monastery visited in one's leisure time away from court ceremonies and state duties and was usually located near larger residences. Just off the main path, easily accessible on foot or by bike, it is a nice destination for a walk along the river. Its construction follows the type of a late medieval castle with a moat, drawbridge, and four small corner towers. The two-story residential building does not have the facade design typical of pleasure palaces of the time. This baroque pleasure palace is an architectural gem of the city. We saw 2 small ponds, geese, ducks, swans, and even a nutria sitting on the bank. Nutria lives in rivers, lakes, ponds, and swamps. Wasserburg is wonderfully reflected in the water. Being a private property, the castle cannot be visited from the inside.

Had a group of Indians with me and decided to book this tour. Was really impressed with how it was managed, really interesting and enjoyable. Well thought out and worthwhile.
