What travellers are saying
- Carrie AStamford, UK45 contributionsCompletely unspoilt and not touristy. Wander around at leisure. Spectacular views and photogenic locationWritten 15 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chris SEglinton, UK763 contributionsGreat place to visit, the town of Cluny is very attractive in itself - however it would be a major omission not to visit the Abbey. It was an abbey on an enormous scale and what little remains is impressive. They have a great 3D video of how it was established and how it grew. Well marked out routes - a great few hoursWritten 10 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Deb WReno, NV2,443 contributionsWhile it's no longer a stud farm there are still a lot of horses. We were able to watch a dressage demo but an olympic hopeful. Loved seeing the horses.Written 23 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dorothea GUehlingen-Birkendorf, Germany53 contributionsWe were greeted warmly and the lady who was on duty on the day, provided us with a great overview and several suggestions for day trips.Written 3 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tim MMere, UK30 contributionsThe ‘Cheese Tower’ is accessed from the tourist information office. There are many steps to climb, but once you reach the top the view of Clint town is amazing. This wonderful view then also helps your understanding as you take your tour of the town.Written 14 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Family D24 contributionsWhat a great use of an old railway line to convert it into a bike path…
Day-1: Taize to Chalon-sur-saone and back (80km). Straight, well kept, well signposted, some nice converted old stations along the way
Day-2: Taize to Macon and back (60km). Hilly and more varied profile. Tunnel St.Claire (about 1.5km) along the way
Would recommend this cycle path/route.Written 18 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
