During the second week of February we visited Muradeshwar, Gokarna etc. We hired a taxi from Muradeshwar to Gokarna. The taxi driver took us to an Eco beach, three other temples (two of which are part of the Atma lingam) and to the Gokarna beach.
The Gokarna temple opens only at 5.30pm and there was a long queue to get in. The temple needs to be kept in better condition.

One can buy good spices from here and some bargaining can be done.

Om Beach is 4 miles from Gokarna
Om Beach is a great view and once you visit for boating ride it is a high place because you are next to Pardise Beach, you can see Half Moon Beach and Aganashini River Point and if lucky you can see Dolphin Point Dolphin.

    It was my best experience
I jammed, camped alone and pitched a tent next to the beach for the night. I enjoyed going to the best restaurant there for dinner.and

If anyone wants to pitch a tent near the beach, ask the sea gaurd there and they will give you the best advice.

    Thank you🙏🏻

The beach is amazing and I stayed at Namaste Yoga Farm and did yoga two times a day. Wonderful experience and so refreshing to spend relaxing time in Kundla.
The only problem that I found in the beach is the watersports which kills the beach spirit and the spirit of the land. In that respect the Gokarna main beach is in a better position. New commercial establishments are coming which will also cater to mass tourism and drove the foreign travellers away from this place.

This is one of the places of Gokarna that I personally loved. By ferry, it took us around 35 minutes to reach Half moon beach. The beach is really clean and is less populated so you get to have your own private space.

A tiny beautiful fort very near from NH66. Neat and clean with outerwall standing strong and tall. Nothing much to see inside fort though. Still a visit here is recommended to respect our history.

Very relaxing time with less crowd at the beach. Main beach in Gokarna is good for a long walk, watching the sunset, swimming and having a picnic with family and friends. Very family and kids friendly beach. Only problem that I saw was pollution on the beach with beer bottles and considerably more dogs.

Kundla beach is nice with some more water sports and friendly people.

Om beach is good and nice. But it is overhyped. The path from Kundla beach to the om beach needs more direction signs.

One is allowed in the sanctum sactorum only wearing dhotis without any top. Its a spiritual experience wearing yellow dhoti worshipping the lord.

Happened to see a small board stuck on the trunk of a tree stating 'Shiva Cave' right opposite the place where we stayed for a day (Kudle Beach View Resort)... once I got into the jungle, I realized that there were no further landmarks and no one to direct you - still carried on simply out of curiosity and knowing that it was a mere 100 meters inside... there is just a flag to indicate the location of this spot else nothing much helps including navigation maps. There is a hole in the wall which leads into a cave with a small temple inside. I was lucky to spot a few workers cleaning up the place in preparation for Shivratri else it would have been really cumbersome to confirm that this indeed was my destination. Went close to noon time and hence did not find any bats inside... feel free to skip this one in case you have limited time allocated to the Gokarna trip...

This beach in itself is not that famous but serves as a starting point for famous beach trek of Gokarna. It can also be the end point if one starts from Om Beach. This beach is very well accessible via roads.

On the road of Nimmu house (Gokarna main beach), a few meters up the hill is this wonderful ancient Rama temple. There are two natural spring outlets; one in the entrance serves as a drinking/bathing source for sadhus and locals and the other purely for drinking beside the temple. Local people believe it has healing properties. The temple has a great vibe and a charm of its own. We did not carry a mobile with us and in a way not everything needs to be captured and shared rather just experienced. The view point beside the temple is serene as its secluded and provides an amazing view of the Gokarna main beach. You can see an amazing sunset; we sat there watching the bright orange fire ball consumed by the sea.

The temple is so calm, clean and divine. The Amman is in standing posture decorated with flowers. The walls have murals of astadasa shakti with explanation of the experience with the shakthi. The calmness of the place brings divine within and is apt for meditation, which makes us not to leave the temple.
